I was shivering slightly, and Attus rubbed my shoulders gently, until we were out of the Alpha King's sight, then I pulled myself from Attus's hold and sat wearily on the floor, crying my eyes out. Who exactly was Xavier? How did he switch up and change completely so easily? I almost felt like I had had sex with a laughing, happy, vulnerable man, different than the monster that I had just faced, who wanted to crush and destroy me with his words, and burn me with his eyes.

He pretended as if he wanted to leave, even though he knew the last sentence he had uttered then had caught the Gamma's attention which would make him call him back. And just as he expected, Xander called him as soon as his inhuman hands touched the door's hinges. " What were you saying earlier? A human?" Xander asked. His inquisitiveness was clearly shown in his eyes and it made Callum glad than ever.

I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds. We only went with our instincts, and our nostrils that could go lengths, while vampires could do their stuff, and even read minds.
