CHAPTER 30 NOVA'S POV Is this the right time to ask what we are? Hell, that’s the last thing on my mind. The sunlight gleaming into the room is enough to wake me up. A small smile is plastered on my lips. We forgot to draw them down last night. Flashbacks from last night replay in my head nonstop. I press my thighs together. Is it time to think about the aftercare that he offered? After the countless men that would walk right out of the door after having sex with me, Cassian is different. And for the first time, I don’t feel like I’ve made a mistake.

Her glow is yours to rekindle.” Selene’s light flared, her voice breaking with desperation and love. “Rekindle? She gave everything her spark, her soul! What more can you ask of her?” Lucas surged to his feet, his voice raw with defiance, tears streaming as he faced Novis. “You want her to fight again? She saved reality! If you’re her dawn, give her back to us, or I’ll tear this star apart!”

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW "Welcome back, Ms. Solano!" The Science professor surnamed Santiago greeted Khrystyanna who is also accompanied by Cedric and Mikael. Handing me the drink, he walked over and occupied the seat next to me. I focused my gaze on the dance floor, where people were engrossed in the energetic music. "Change of plans," I replied, taking a sip of my drink. "There's news going around that Solana is alive and that you two were spotted with a child in Massachusetts. Is it true?" he asked, his tone filled with curiosity. I looked at him intently and nodded. "Yeah, it's true." "Shit, man. So, you weren't crazy after all," he said, a hint of disbelief in his voice.

There were tea and coffee as drink choices. “Today, we will discuss the next step we would take. The Bakunawa is still there. Mayari had confirmed it in my dream.” Luna took the lead to open the discussion. Sol raised his hand. All eyes turned to him. Everyone, except Kira and Vian, should have known Sol as the quiet boy who when speaks, everyone listens. “I actually received a new prophecy I think you would need to hear it.” He said. He looked at Luna, which nodded in approval.

"Please, take me with you. They've killed my family, rounded up the whole poblacion up north, and killed anyone who resisted. I've got nowhere else to go but I want to fight. I need to fight. I need—" He could not finish. Days of running and planning his revenge and he's got nothing to show for. His sister. Mother. Father. All of them sliced down by autocannons as he hid in the woods, watching. He needed this. Needed to redeem himself. He was a Sandalo. And he let his family down. Mountain's feature softened and he was about to say something to Joseph when the girl shouted, "Incoming!"
