The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

If one looked down from a high place, one could not help but feel that the small courtyard and its owner were isolated by other surrounding buildings and the Gibson family members. For the past ten years, Solana lived alone in the small courtyard. She had no servants to serve her and refused to be served by others. Everything was done on her own, and she usually did not talk to others either. If she were not practicing, her only way to rest besides sleeping was to sit in the corridor outside the house, hug her knees, and look at the sky. Sometimes, Solana would stare at the sky for the whole night.

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

In My Lonesomeness

In My Lonesomeness

They bathed together, ate together, and went shopping together, just like what a couple deeply in love would do. I didn't make a scene as I simply watched them show off their affection in silence. With five more days left in the divorce's waiting period, Julian suddenly suggested climbing a snow-covered mountain. He insisted that I come, too. Halfway up, Evelyn had left to get something, leaving Julian and me alone. The gentleness on his face vanished at once, replaced by a cold stare. "Why are you still hanging around here? Do you really think Evelyn will fall for you eventually?"

A REPLACEMENT FOR ALPHA KAEL

A REPLACEMENT FOR ALPHA KAEL

Chapter 47: Ascension POV: Ariana Isolation did not come gently. It came in layers—first silence, then distance, then the slow, relentless stripping away of everything familiar until there was nothing left but breath, blood, and fire. I learned quickly that solitude was not emptiness. It was a confrontation.

It’s like you’re trying to get her to reject us before we even get back to our pack. ‘The mate bond isn’t complete. There’s only so much control I have,’ he says, his voice more sad than angry. ‘Then don’t fuck up the only thing that could possibly keep us sane,’ I say, turning off the water and getting ready for bed.

I am enjoying reading this author, ‘Cooper’ and especially the guardian series. I like meeting the different generations of these families, and watching them grow. It is interesting how the author is bringing in the various supernatural species. ...️...

Never Lonely Again

Never Lonely Again

Cole stumbled to his feet and bolted toward the stairs, his legs trembling so badly that he missed a step. With a loud thud, he tumbled down the staircase, landing in a heap at the bottom. The sharp pain brought a sliver of clarity to his frantic mind. Gritting his teeth, he grabbed the railing and pulled himself up, limping as he made his way back up the stairs. This time, he moved more slowly, and thankfully, there were no more accidents.

Trade Breaker

Trade Breaker

Dominic sat in the back seat of his car, staring blankly out the window as the city lights flickered past. The familiar streets held no warmth or comfort for him—they were the same cold, monotonous pathways he traveled every day. Since he’d decided to stop looking for Solo, life had become nothing more than a series of motions—a hollow routine he followed without thought, without purpose. And even though he knew it was the right thing to do, it still pinched at his heart. Solo didn’t want to be found. She made it obvious, and the person backing her had enough power to make her invisible even from him.

Love Is Blind

Love Is Blind

maybe I am better off alone. Dismissive defiance curdled in my gut. Who cared what they said, their whispers a distant buzzing compared to the storm raging inside me? Yearning for a return to the quiet before the infestation, I craved solace in the familiar ache of solitude. Ihudiya's words, harsh but undeniable truths, echoed in the hollowness. Perhaps this self-imposed isolation was the only path forward. Maybe it was time to strip away illusions and confront a reality that scraped raw but held a sliver of hope for a new beginning.

On My Own

On My Own

My fiancée and my best friend were the top partners at a multi-million-dollar law firm, while I was just the guy handling the administrative work. In the courtroom, they were in perfect sync, trading fierce legal arguments and sharing an effortless dynamic. In their personal lives, they casually flirted through law jokes that only the two of them understood. I could never get a word in, edge-wise. Every time they laughed, I offered a painfully awkward smile. Even at my mother's funeral, nothing changed. They chatted merrily in front of her coffin, eventually breaking into audible laughter. “Clara, can you greet the guests?” I called out to her. I was the only child in the family, and a

Run.

Run.

It’s just not me, not something I can even do. I have never been one for the chase, but now just might be the time to learn. *** Time passes, and I stay the same. Things change, but I don’t. Everyone moves on, but I wouldn’t know. Being alone has become my home. The solitude brings solace. The quiet is rejuvenating. The seclusion affords too many perks. I take what I want and I want only what I need. I’m a lone wolf, no need for a pack, no need for a mate. And that will never change.
