CEO's SECOND CHANCE

CEO's SECOND CHANCE

Furthermore, it was late at night, so there was nowhere else she could have gone. I reached for my phone to call her, but then noticed that her apartment door was ajar. I pocketed my phone and cautiously entered her home. As I took another step inside, I noticed a man's shirt on the floor, and one of mine. Nicole had a habit of borrowing my clothes, which I didn't mind, but this shirt was nothing like what I'd wear. Confusion washed over me. My eyes then shifted to the scattered men's shoes adjacent to the shirt, each pair placed randomly, pointing in different directions. These shoes were not. My mind began connecting the dots.

Mending You And I (Halal Lovestory)

Mending You And I (Halal Lovestory)

I sighed loudly and started heading towards the balcony, my heels making a loud noise as they collided with the marble floor. But there were another pair of footsteps behind me. A feeling of deja vu hit me and I quickly turned around to see who was with me. I wasn't letting myself get kidnapped again. No way! My eyes could see a figure emerge from the shadows. A male figure. Without wasting a second, I pulled off my left shoe and held it out in a threatening way. "Don't you dare come near me." I gripped on my shoe tightly as if my life depended on it. And it did. Literally.

HEAVEN & HELL

HEAVEN & HELL

Yet as she spotted Nick chatting away on his mobile at the front of the shop, she forced herself to do as he had told her. Millie drifted over to an unusual shoe display. These had high thin needle-like heels in a rainbow of colours, some with spikes adorning the front. They looked dangerous; which she supposed had been the designer’s intention. She didn’t think they were her type of thing, and she would prefer something more elegnt and with a heel which would tempt her to use as a murder weapon. She knew the twins had shoes like these and it would be a lie to say she had not thought of sticking the heel in Ruby’s eye.

Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

But now that I was married, mother and her sisters had gone to shop for my clothes for me while I had been too busy doing other stuff, and all they had shipped for me were ninety percent flimsy and way too revealing. I moved towards the shoe rack on the left end of the room and couldn’t help the way my eyes trailed over Luca’s shoes. They were a lot and way more than a hundred pairs by the look of it. I moved a little from side to side, chewing on the left corner of my lower lip as I reached forward and picked up a transparent type of heels, which thankfully had a really low hell, and didn’t have a show back. It was like a slide and a sandal combined together and I placed the pair on the gro

it's been 1yr. of reading this book. I am on chapter 443. James and Blair are getting more interesting, they're more mature than Luca and Sophia's relationships Don't like where Sophia's character is going. But still love the book. How many characters left??

Be The Mother Of a Billionaire Son

Be The Mother Of a Billionaire Son

“Between me and the shoes, which is more amazing? I don't like seeing you so amazed at something other than me." Hearing the man's ridiculous remark, Fisya couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. “You idiot! Why are you comparing yourself to shoes?” "Answer me first." Fisya was amused to see the man jealous of a shoe. If she had guessed wrong, she might think at this point that Regan might love her, but she didn't want to guess because she thought Regan was a strange man, so it was natural for him to do that. "The shoes are beautiful—"

Walk in Her Shoes

Walk in Her Shoes

I shot her the same look from head to toe, holding my nose as I stepped back. "Lady, please, stay away. Even if you bathe in perfume, you can't hide your old-lady stench. What can you possibly compare to me? I used to be confident in my looks, but now that you say I look like you, I feel like tearing this face off." Before I could even finish my retort, the woman who had been standing there with her arms crossed, calm and composed, suddenly lunged at me, claws out. I sidestepped quickly and, with one smooth motion, kicked her square in the backside, sending her flying to the ground.

Pieces of Me

Pieces of Me

I cracked open the windows just in case but closed the blinds tighter. I sighed, not at all how the night was supposed to go. I bent down and took off one of her shoes, then the other. They were Converse that had been painted over. Each had a foggy grey and green silhouette of a forest running down the sides, simple and calming. She was wearing pink fluffy socks. I chuckled quietly. That was not what I would have expected.

I didn’t sell anything that he bought for me, I just can’t, there is this something inside me that keeps wanting to remember my time with him, and with these things, it feels like yesterday. I held the shoe he gave me and the shoe Lynus gave me while looking at Lynus gift I just feel normal but gazing at Leusam’s gift my heart beat abnormally. "What is that?" I was surprised when Rie came into the room and looked at the shoe I was holding. “Two? I only have one” she said and get Leusam’s shoes. But I immediately snatched it from him and he was surprised, "I only use El, that's a total of two" she said but I hugged Leusam's shoes.

Sinner's Empire Series: Sin of Silence, A Silent Reckoning, Goodnight Sinners

The patent leather shoes on his feet looked expensive, and Shaun bet they cost about as much as her monthly salary. She looked around for her running shoes but didn't see them. "Where are my shoes?" Put those on. Jozef pointed at the high heels. Shaun grimaced. It didn't look like she would have a choice. Someone had taken her shoes and she wasn't willing to argue with Jozef, which meant she wasn't going to have access to them. If she didn't find a good pair of running shoes, escaping the mansion was going to be tough business. She could easily picture herself foiling her own escape plan as she tripped and broke a limb on her way out.
