To Avenge My Ex, I Married A Tycoon

To Avenge My Ex, I Married A Tycoon

The Damien family was full of cunning people. Tehilla, who was standing to one side, watched the two old men communicate like idiots. The corner of her lips curled into a mocking grin and her eyes were filled with impatience. If it weren't for Mark, a well known warrior across the land of Taadi and a powerful man in the Cannon family, she wouldn't waste her time with these two. After hiding the disgust and impatience in her eyes, Tehilla smiled brightly as she opened the chessboard and said, "Old Master Cannon, it's me, Tehilla Damien. It's been a long time since I last played chess with you. How about a game of chess right now?" Tehilla had played chess with Mark in the military compound be

Michy, I love your writing style and this story. You are a talented writer. Hilda and Nathan are my favorite book characters. I love the love they share and how they care for each other and others. Thank you for the shout-out in Chapter 897. I am so honored. And you're right about Anthony. :-)

La Requiem

La Requiem

I replied again and he just sighed. "I'm no poet Lade but just a mere Northerner that speaks in accordance with his will." "You know this reminds me almost of a game of chess," I uttered, tasting the new memory on my buds, the Sunday evening chess games with Tayo and how he always picked the black tier while I certainly the white.

The Lycan King’s Prey

The Lycan King’s Prey

Marcel McClain Alina, Gina and I sat in the courtyard, you know, next to the lake that ran quite peacefully through our backyard. Alina wasn’t as surprised as her sister that I wanted to play chess with her or even volunteered to see her at all. She seems to know the kind of person I am. A sick minded person who plays games. An actual real life game of chess and from the look on her face, I don’t think she minds that fact very much. In fact, I happen to think that she loves it very much and she’s happy that there’s finally someone like this in her life.

The Billionaire's Secretary.

The Billionaire's Secretary.

he explains as he begins moving the king and queen, “But they’re not the most powerful.” I gawk at him, unsure of where he’s going with this. “These.” He taps on the pawns and begins moving those too. “Often mistaken for the lowliest, they can knock off all the other pieces with just a single move." I’m out of my element here. The Neal I know didn’t care about chess…enough to explain it to me at least. But then, he’s no longer the Neal I know. Like me, he has metamorphosed into another version of himself. I’m just not sure which I prefer.

Alpha Dragon

Alpha Dragon

"I shall teach you and maybe in twenty years, you shall be competition." "Twenty years?" she scoffed. "It will take at least that long to train your human brain in the game of warfare." "Only if I may teach you checkers." "Humph, when you beat me, I shall learn your silly game." We moved to the table holding my chess set. The pieces were heavy gold and silver, the board black and white marble. I'd stolen it from a king in a faraway realm. The fool thought he'd captured a dragon. I challenged him to a game for my freedom. He'd agreed, and I won. The set was not part of the bargain, but I swiped it before he knew of its loss. No one holds a dragon without losing something. Usually their life.

Broken Illusions

Broken Illusions

Half a chess game unfinished by the window. Jessica scouted the building while Michael barricaded the door. Lena sat down at the kitchen table, staring at the chessboard. The game was mid-match. White had sacrificed both bishops. Black was two moves from checkmate. She touched one of the pawns. The piece was warm from sunlight. She moved it. A defensive position. She sat back. And waited. The broadcast came three hours later. An emergency bulletin pushed through encrypted lines, hitting intelligence terminals, private news outlets, dark web boards.

Loving You In Secret

Loving You In Secret

Vicky glanced at the black and white pieces on the chessboard, realizing the two sides had reached a standstill. As a lady from a prestigious family, Vicky had naturally dabbled in various arts including chess and calligraphy. Not only did she study traditional board games, but she also made international chess a mandatory part of her education. Vicky's skills in chess were above average, but it had been a while since she last played, and she was a little rusty. Casting a glance at the elderly gentleman before her, Vicky casually picked up a black piece. As the game came to an end, Vicky was not surprised that she was defeated and looked up at the old man. "I lost."

Thanks, Author. I love this book. Re-reading Chapter 1743, which makes me quite emotional. Despite Tyler's extreme unhealthy obsession towards Vicky & his extreme controlling nature, I can't help but like him a lot & and root for him, my heart aches for him. Tyler is one of my most favourite MLs.

I read this story about a year ago, and somehow it never lost its effect. At first ı was very pleased with the ending, but as time passed, my feelings changed. Noone deserves to be ruined by anyone like this, only God has the right to destroy/reward humans. An alternate ending is what’s needed.

Alpha's Housekeeper

Alpha's Housekeeper

"You can't win a game of chess against me. You never did. And you can't win this either. I suggest you yeild before your ass is kicked in front of your mate." Zara suppressed her laughs. Well, it was because of her why these guys were playing chess in the first place. She mentioned that she loved chess and would like to learn. Alpha Damien (a pro chess player) offered to teach her but Brian barged in. He claimed to be a good player as well and Damien mocked him.

Marked by the Lycan King

Marked by the Lycan King

Elder Alfred said in an authoritative tone that left no room for refusal. While mindlinking Housekeeper Sheila, Myra reluctantly took a seat, flashing a fake smile. Sheila soon appeared with a beautiful, exquisite chess set. This chessboard should be for decoration, Myra thought. “Do you know how to play chess?” Elder Alfred asked. She nodded slightly. She had learned it back in Crimson Moon Pack, before she found out Aiden was her mate. Elder Alfred started arranging the pieces. “The chessboard is like a battlefield. One wrong move and your king is in checkmate.”

MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY

MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY

He closes the book in his hands and looks up at me, raising a brow, cold and scary. “What do you want?” His deep voice asks. “Ehm…I heard from everyone that you're pretty good at chess.” “So?” He slams the book on the tea table. “I am participating in the chess competition. Could you please help me?” “Wow. You got your mate yesterday, and you're already aiming for a new man.” Myla enters the room, drawing everyone's attention. “Only you can have such a thought.” “W-What?” She closes her fingers into a fist.
