The Scam Called Love

The Scam Called Love

Watching my enemies realize they were about to go down was a checkmate. Morning arrived with some good news, Linda was still alive. The woman had just fainted from high blood pressure. Poor Linda. I hadn’t even made my first move on the chessboard, and she was already crumbling. Regardless, I decided to give her some time to recover. She needed to be in top shape to witness her son’s inevitable downfall.

Marked by the forbidden mate

Marked by the forbidden mate

"The engagement was a substitute. A cover. When the Alpha in question failed to claim you, your father needed an alternative. Someone to take his place. Someone who wouldn't ask too many questions." "Who?" My voice came out as a whisper. "Who was I supposed to marry?" Darian looked at Aeden. And everything changed. AEDEN'S POV I felt the world tilt beneath me. Darian's words echoed in my skull like a death knell, each syllable a blade carving through the lies I'd built my life around. "The Alpha he promised you to. The one who was supposed to be your mate." I looked at Cella. Her silver eyes were wide, confusion and fear warring on her face. She was searching for answers, for something to ho

The Surgeon Forgotten Wife

The Surgeon Forgotten Wife

"I've been waiting..." Adrian Knight said softly, "...for someone else to make the next move." He gently placed the white queen back on the chessboard. Dizer's eyes remained fixed on the unfinished game. "Did my grandmother ever come back to finish it?" she asked. Adrian smiled wistfully. "No. Life interrupted us. And before we knew it... there wasn't enough time." He gestured toward the study. "Please. Let's sit."

The CEO's Puzzling Obsession

The CEO's Puzzling Obsession

With every strategic play, he inched closer to his redemption, to the moment when he would reclaim his rightful place. In that silent room, amidst the echoing emptiness, Colton found purpose and meaning in the game before him. The chessboard became a battlefield, and he was the master tactician, orchestrating his moves with precision and cunning. The pieces on the board became symbols of his adversaries, each move a calculated blow struck against those who had wronged him.

The Sugar Baby Decided To Quit

The Sugar Baby Decided To Quit

“You know it’s a game of chess between multiple people. We have to take turns.” Alexander put the queen piece in the middle of the board. Then he put the black king piece behind the queen. “I have taken my turn. And I thought I will win this time. But she keeps on walking a step ahead of me, doesn’t she?” He scoffed, more to himself. “Tch. A mere human woman was able to play me.” “Now it’s their turn.” Alexander picked up the horse, the bishop, and the white king pieces. He put them all in front of the queen piece, sandwiching the queen with the black king piece.

His collateral

His collateral

"The pawns are the poor, restricted to one movement at a time. The rook, bishop and knight are the middle class. They have a fairer chance at life but still limited. Then the king, the wealthy, the most important figure in society. The poor and middle class look up to their position as something they should attain. And lastly the queen, the super rich and influential. The most powerful piece on the board.” Elena nodded slowly. There was something in what he said that made uncomfortable sense. "Which category do you belong to?" He smiled. "Which do you think, Mrs. Dalton?" She thought for a moment. "The queen." "Wrong." Her eyes widened. "The king?" "Wrong." He laughed, clearly enjoying this

Revenge of the Hideous Lady

Revenge of the Hideous Lady

He wanted Jeremy to concentrate on the game and forget about all the painful memories. Both of them were brilliant chess players. Jeremy’s attention was completely shifted to the game in no time. His mood was getting better too. In the end, he was defeated by Stanley. He shook his head helplessly. “Sigh… I made a mistake just now… Life is just like a game of chess, isn’t it? A wrong move can lead to one’s failure… I’m the best example…” If he had not met the wrong person, he would not have ended up like this.

The storyline is too good to be true! I love all the leads and emotions are shown very clearly... but nowadays, it looks like story is still dragged out... same drama, same praises, same scandals... either this should end on a good note or may be Author should change the perspective.
Peachy Barbadillo
a lot is going on with the story and I feel like Stanley was being left behind in this story...I think y should focus more on the two main character...where is Stanley's point of view when xyla were being attack and bullied..that's all but great story though but decided to drop it...

PRETEND PRINCESS

PRETEND PRINCESS

"Because he wouldn't have gotten it." And suddenly it struck me, harshly, because it was true. And hurtful. I needed someone who could see me. Not the idea of me. Not the damsel in distress. "Do you like chess?" I asked out of the blue. He chuckled. "Where the hell did that come from?" "Do you?" "Yup," he replied, twirling his toothpick once more. "Stays my mind. Reminds you not to get too attached to any one piece."

This book is really interesting and I'm waiting for more updates. Yuyu really is a walking colour disaster sometimes but I love it. Both Creed and Yuyu should sort out their messy relationship before getting together. I can already sense the tension though. Good job author and success to this book

I nodded, my throat tight with both fear and victory. The phone was cheap, disposable, but to me it was priceless. I sank onto the bed, fingers flying over the screen. I couldn’t risk plain words. King’s men would read everything. So I wrote in code. A story only Liam would know. I reminded him of that night on his balcony, when I told him about the old chess set my mother gave me, and how he taught me that the queen was the most dangerous piece on the board because no one expected her to move so freely. He called it the Queen’s Gambit.
