I find that like him even more with continued exposure.” I say and she frowns.

What else can you say to those people who are in control?” “Well they’ve finally created a perfect and stunning worldwide famous billion dollar liar with a ruined human being inside of him. All these freaking lies for fame." I smiled calmly. “Allof the people trying to scrutinize someone else’s reputation and name should be ashamed of themselves. I can't believe you can easily take away somebody else's happiness." I bluntly said every word with all anger in me.

He took a seat on the couch opposite hers and stretched a copy of the book to her, she took it from him and opened it. “Ready?” Axel asked and she nodded in response. “What do you not understand about the book?” He asked. “Everything.” She replied and looked up at him. “Summarise what you read to me.” He ordered and she smiled. “A man kidnapped a lady and made her do whatever he wanted. He was obsessed with her and dominant over her till they grew old together.” Lily explained and Axel nodded. She really read the book to the end.

It was still a little moist. She didn't know what to make of that; he was a hard man to read. In her experience, there were three kinds of people, some were an open book, eager to share. stephan was an open book. Living around him was to live with the constant threat of blunt force emotional trauma. Ryan, on the other hand, was a closed book. He gave nothing and shutdown conversations that might peek at what was between his covers. Like a steel bear trap clamping down on the conversation, eviscerating an arm of a leg in the process.

Both were really awkward at each other at first but when they found out that both were reading the same book, they eventually got a comfortable to talk at each other. “So, you also read that book-” “Yeah, I got into it after a friend of mine recommended it to me.” “Isn’t it a great book.” “Yeah, I got hooked on it after reading the first chapter.” “bla-bla-bla” Both continued to talked to each other and enjoyed their conversation. “I was feeling an awkward atmosphere growing between our table so I was gonna try to start a conversation but when you brought out your book, I was just surprised to see a person reading it.” The girl said.

The trying that might fail, but is still trying. I burned the notebook. The archive. The documentation of your becoming that was also mine. Not because I don't love you. Because I do. The not-romantic, messed-up, still-trying kind. The kind that destroys and apologizes and destroys again, but is learning—slowly, failing, learning—to want your freedom without dying from it.
