The pack doctor took a glass of water and dropped few drops on her face. Katrina opened her eyes weakly and looked at the doctor. "How are you feeling?" The pack doctor asked her. "Please don't treat me. I want to die. I am very bad. I hurt my mate. I hurt my Luna. I tried to hurt my Alpha. Please don't treat me. The Rouge destroyed me. Please don't touch me. I am dirty and impure" Katrina cried out. The doctor looked at her being annoyed and spoke up," I am not going to treat you"

And during the daytime, Katrina couldn’t leave the bed unless her hunger drove her downstairs to the kitchen. Katrina buried her head in the pillow and held her stomach. This pain wasn’t only from hunger, she was very sure. She just returned from the kitchen a while ago. This pain was from something entirely different. Katrina didn’t need to be afraid any longer of the repercussion. Because the repercussion had become true. She wasn’t used to this kind of pain, but she knew what it was. Her eyes stung with hot tears as she thought about Aaron. What the hell had she done? What trouble had she landed herself in?

Katrina was bound and gagged in a chair, crying profusely, and suddenly a violent shove had ripped the door off the room, sending it crashing to the floor with a thud, and Julio Cesar entered the room all bloody and angry, broke the ropes that bound Katrina to the chair, and in one swoop amidst her screams and protests, he took her with him in a whirlwind of bats that he himself had become. Everything then went black and Malvina entered the scene in his mind.

Katrina’s POV I moved slowly through the quiet library, the soft sound of my shoes brushing against the floor the only thing I could hear. The space was massive and strangely peaceful, like time had stopped in there. Tall shelves lined every wall, stacked with books of all colors, sizes, and shapes. Some looked new, but many looked like they hadn’t been touched in years, with dust coating their tops and pages peeking out like secrets trying to escape.

Katrina. I don't know what I was thinking, letting myself to be swept off by this mysterious man that I just met. But the second our eyes met, there was pull I just couldn't deny. I had never felt anything like it before. He had asked me if I wanted to get out there and I found out that I could not say no. I couldn't believe myself. I have never been this lose before. Was this a result of the rejection I survived earlier today? I didn't know and honestly, I couldn't care less. The man before me was promising to give me a good time and I'll be damned if I refuse it.

Eric asked. "Katrina is gone? " he asked. "Read this," Maureen said, giving him the paper. Eric read it and staggered back in shock.

I found the phrase and especially the laugh unsettling. “Katrina is Type-A. She’s organized as fuck. She has physical binders with step-by-step instructions on how to do various pack-related tasks.” Zoe laughed. “They are also all stored on a secured server that the ranked members can access. It probably wasn't important if she didn’t have a guide, and she could tell you how to handle it.”

It was the safest seat with the best view! Kitty walked towards that seat fast and landed herself on the sofa, feeling a lot better. But before she realized she had nothing to do there, she found a book left there leaning against the arm of the sofa. Looks like someone forgot it there. Kitty moved inwards and picked up the book curiously. It was Victor Hugo's Les Miserables.

GreenLee pulled back slightly but didn’t let go, as if releasing her would make Katrina disappear again. “Kat,” I whispered. She flinched. I froze. “I didn’t know you were here,” I said softly. “I didn’t know you were safe.” Her lips parted, but no words came out. Her eyes darted to GreenLee, then to Wolf, and back to me. She looked like she wanted to run but didn’t know where to go. GreenLee’s voice was gentle. “Baby, it’s okay.” Kat’s eyes filled with tears, but she didn’t cry. She just nodded once, like she was bracing herself.
