This story mostly follows Cassie. An American twenty-two year old who was orphaned at age of seven years old, and got adopted by the nanny who took care of her. Cassie also had terrible nightmares over what she had seen and heard the night when she turned seven. Damian is the mafia boss, whom Cassie will have to work, live and be with. Damian has a nephew, but only people who don't work for or with him, think the kid is his son. Damian learned to not be too attached to someone very early in life, because the pain is stronger when you realize that they are no longer with you. They hate each other, they are always fighting. But, somehow Damian starts to like her, and so does Cassie. But something horrible has to happen for both of them to realize that they have feelings for each other.
