Collins shot back, his voice tense, the words trembling slightly with irritation and defiance. In a sudden blur, Kade’s fist collided with Collins’ face. The impact was brutal, lips splitting instantly, a sharp spray of blood marking the floor. Collins staggered back, wiping at his mouth, but a smirk remained, like he hadn’t really been hurt. “Sonia’s father killed the woman I love!” Kade growled, his voice low, dangerous. “He murdered my first love…he murdered Jarvis, do you understand?!” Collins wiped the blood from his lips and straightened, standing tall, smirking despite the sting.

I open my eyes and surely enough, Mike is standing there with two of his cronies backing him up. Mike is the school’s jock and let me tell you he can’t get any more stereotypical. He dates the head cheerleader, who happens to be a bitch, and likes to bully the outcast crowd. And like any typical bully, he has to have what I like to call his ‘bitches’ back him up. I mean, he already towers over me, do you really need the backup dude?
