He jammed his finger down on the emitter’s trigger. A wave of invisible, crushing pressure slammed into the room. Cattleya screamed, her ears ringing with the sound of a thousand glass panes shattering at once. The vampires didn't die; they shrieked in agony, their bodies convulsing, their skin blistering and turning to ash where the sonic waves hit them. The room became a kaleidoscope of chaos”shattered relics, dust, pulverized stone, and the desperate, thrashing forms of the undead.

The nightmares did not stop. Every night, the ghosts came. My mother, her face twisted into a mask of shadow, her voice accusing. Kaelen, his eyes black, his hands reaching for my throat, his fingers cold. Lorna, her white hair wild, her crown of thorns dripping blood that sizzled where it touched the floor. Marcus, laughing, always laughing, his black eyes watching me from the corners of my dreams, his voice whispering that I would never be free.

He flicks the light on, and I wince at the brightness before he closes the door behind him. Soon after, the muted sound of the steady shower stream hitting the tiles fills the silent void. I close my eyes and focus on the pattering purr of the water moving through old pipes. In a matter of seconds, exhaustion pulls me into a plague of nightmares—detached, groping hands, bullets, so many bullets, and at the centre of it all, a terrified little boy with eyes as black as night.

They had found out about my IQ and wanted my brain to join them. I had insisted that they saved my brother as well. I may have made it a deal breaker.

My breathe itch heavily when I turned to him all smiled plastered on his face. "It's okay, Riani..." he said huskily. He mentioned my name a second time, but it still sounded strange to me. It felt soothing, but whenever I glanced at him, the cold breeze of wind seems whispering something. It was like these endless nightmares are haunting me, and I can't count how many times it visits me. But there's always someone who's bugging me—those pairs of eyes that it resembles, Alforo. I just don't know where. And it made me so stiff when another day he's around.

I awoke in my bed, staring at the bland white ceiling. The ticking of a clock filled the silence in the room, almost luring me back to sleep. My eyes flashed back open, irritated. I needed to get up before I fell asleep. I didn't want to wake Sebastion up with another one of my terrible nightmares. They where so vivid last night I woke up screaming and panting. Drakos's son always filling my dreams as he did the most terrible things to my body. Always claiming that I would come back to them. That I was destined to fill my place by Drakos's side as a warrior. Of course I knew it was just a dream, Drakos's son was dead after all. I killed him. It bothered me that he continued to plague my drea

The nightmare tore through my consciousness like shattered glass. Blood-soaked walls. Screaming children. Santa Muerte's skeletal form hovering over twin beds. "They're coming," the death saint whispered. I jolted awake, my skin glowing with an eerie blue light. The security monitors flickered and died. "Mommy?" Sofia's voice crackled through the baby monitor. "Luna's crying." Three explosions rocked the compound. The front gates groaned. "Stay in your room!" I grabbed my phone, already running. "Lock the door!"

In the dream, I was involved in a threesome with Nicholas and Sebastian, and they seemed perfectly fine with it. I woke up with a start, knowing it had to be a dream. In reality, Nicholas would never tolerate such a situation, and the thought of them fighting each other over me seemed absurd. I stood up from the bed and dialed my best friend's number. She picked up almost immediately. "I'm so confused, Sonia. I just had a terrible nightmare," I said, my breath still heavy. Sonia panicked, "What happened?"

Then all of a sudden, some faceless guys barge into the house and then they kill everybody except me. I start to cry knowing that it was all my fault and then I wake up sweating and gasping for air.

"I am here to finish you up, you slaying bitch! She said and continued to laugh, then she brought out the knife. "Sonia please, I am sorry, I had no choice, you have to believe me". She begged, but Sonia only inch closer. "Every one has a choice". She reminded her. She got so close to her, that she almost could not feel any space between them, and was about to stab her on the same spot she had stabbed her before, Tracy screamed and woke up, she woke up in a sweat, she was awake but her eyes were still closed, she didn't want to open her eyes even when she could feel her mother trying to wake her up, she was really scared of what she might see, with the gentle voice of the nurses and her mot
