It was unusual for Haze to leave their room unlocked, especially considering the importance they placed on personal space. There, in the dimly lit room, I saw Haze on her bed, her body trembling and tears streaming down her face. It was evident that she was having a terrible nightmare. She was crying out in her dreams, her voice filled with desperation, 'Don't die, Ricky. Please don't leave me alone.' For a brief moment, I wondered who Ricky was, a flicker of jealousy arising within me, but I quickly pushed it aside. I called out, 'Haze, wake up, Haze,' as I shook her body, trying to wake her from the grips of her terrifying dream.

I took a wary step back, then froze when I heard familiar voices. "I'm here to help, tiny human! Where's the monster?" "Ghost squad is here to fight!" "Baby, where are you? I'm here, so don't be scared! I'll protect you!" "Protecting humans is the duty of ghosts! Kill him!" "Slither in darkness! Scream in madness! Rip them apart! Devour! Eat them all!" The mass of black mist barreled around the office before it spotted the pool of rotting filth on the floor.

Liora's POV The nightmares started three nights after the training room attack. At first, they were quiet — soft whimpers in the dark, Alora tossing and turning in her sleep. My legs burn, my lungs ache, but I can’t stop, I can’t stop because they’re right behind me.

In the middle of the night, the faint sound of a door opening woke me. I didn't turn on the light. I just lay quietly in bed, listening to the sound of bare feet on the wool carpet, coming closer and closer. The footsteps stopped beside my bed. In the darkness, a figure leaned over me, carrying a heavy smell of whiskey and that familiar trace of gunpowder. It was "Dante", or perhaps I should call him by his real name—Luciano.

It was the easiest and fastest way for me, but likewise has the most disadvantage. When I talk about the disadvantages, I mean I can get distracted at any thing. And most of my distraction comes from thinking about her.
