She took him from me.” The sorceress began to hum — low, ancient, and strange. “So, you wish him to forget her. To love only you again.” “Yes.” She turned toward the shelves and began to mix things. A drop of red liquid. A pinch of gray dust. A lock of hair from a jar I didn’t ask about.

She found the sorceress waiting in her room, a faint, almost smug smile playing on her lips as Stephanie entered. "The items you requested," Stephanie said, holding herself steady. "They’re ready." The sorceress raised an eyebrow, a look of genuine surprise flitting across her face before it quickly disappeared. She nodded approvingly. "You have done well, Stephanie. A true testament to your dedication as a mother." She gestured to a small wooden table and pulled out a set of tarot cards, laying them out with practiced precision. She flipped over one, and a grim image stared up at them—a dark figure cloaked in shadow, holding a scythe.

When they saw me, they looked like they wanted to run but couldn't. "It's going to be okay," I said delicately. Then to Sera, "What are you doing?" A look of panic crossed Sera's face before her eyes rolled back inside her head, and they were replaced with twin pools of red, like blood. "Sera isn't here right now," she said, and my light was extinguished. "I am Mizrabel, a sorceress from the land of Polonias. With her longing for friends and for power, this child was easy to coerce into wakening me. Now everyone in the land will pay, especially you. If you dare, come for me, and we will see who is meant to rule the land." The voice, which sounded nothing like Sera's, cackled and was gone.

“Hang your clothes in a tree, that is what the last sorceress did. Then come with us. We will not harm you or touch you outside of giving you breath.” “Okay,” I replied with slight hesitation. I go to a tree and begin removing my clothes. When I return they all look at me with smiles and are sitting near the shore of the sea, not the lagoon, “We were wondering when you could come here. We’ve heard stories about you.” “Stories? What stories?” I asked. “That you are the first sorceress in centuries.” Star says. “That your magic comes out in pink smoke,” Nessa tells me. “That you ride on the back of a dragon,” Pearl says with a smile.

"Your mastery over elemental magic and your unwavering loyalty make you an ideal candidate. Will you join this quest?" Felicity, standing tall and resolute, stepped forward. "I will, Supreme Sorcerer. I shall serve our coven with all my power." Constantine nodded, then turned her gaze to Freya, a witch known for her unparalleled knowledge of ancient spells. "Freya, your expertise in ancient magic is unmatched. Will you lend your talents to this mission?" Freya, her expression one of fierce determination, stepped forward to join Felicity. "I pledge my abilities to our cause, Supreme Sorcerer."

… which is completely OP in a way! Not that I am jealous or anything, after all, I don’t need that crap to kick some ass! Being a Sorceress gives me the power to use all kinds of Sorcery and Spell Casting! Thanks to the knowledge I got from the library and the system, I am confident that if I work hard enough before the date, I would be perfectly able to take the spotlight from the saint and the cheating bastard as well making the duke proud of his daughter. Suddenly my senses got alerted, attracted by the noise coming from outside… oh my? Speak of the devil and he shall appear!

The mansion trembled as the walls cracked, the darkness crumbling away. With a scream of defiance, Corazon summoned a vortex of darkness, its tendrils clawing at Alice’s defenses. Alice gritted her teeth, channeling the spirits’ power and her raw determination. Light met shadow in a final, thunderous clash that sent shockwaves through the room. I opened it and read the first page. This is a story about a sorceress who was exiled because of studying black magic, her desire to preserve youth prompted her to kill young women and children. She sacrifices many of them so that she can have eternal youth. I have also read books like this several times when I was traveling. As I kept turning the page, the name of this sorceress was mentioned. Lucinda. Where did this book come from? There is no author written so I don't know who did the work.
