“But how do you see the lines?” Aelia seemed to take in Sam before speaking. “There are three colors of connections. The two prominent ones are white and red.” “Red being for fated?” Sam asked, now genuinely interested. I smiled, once he was given something he didn’t have a lot of information on, suddenly he was a little kid asking a million questions. For once, I was glad it wasn’t aimed at me but I wondered how well Aelia would take it. “Correct. Red is the fated mates. Some connections you can actually see are broken and some continue on that leads to their other half.”

she pleads with a broken voice and I take her wrist in my hand, pressing a kiss into her palm softly. "I have never stopped considering you my mate. Not even for one second -" I reassure her, my own voice a little shaky. "No matter our differences, I am bound to you and you are bound to me. Nothing can tear that bond. There is a thin red rope tied around our ring finger, from even before we met." I whisper against her palm, my eyes closing slowly, my heart fluttering in my chest." A thin red rope that will never snap. A thin red rope I saw one day and followed. A thin red rope that led me to you. "

I gulped and continued, "The problem must be something else." His face straightened and he looked at me in silence for a while before he stated in an even, steady voice. "A tear in the mate bond is like a spear digging into your wolf which eventually will rip your souls apart." His two hands encircled his teacup. "That is why it is called unfortunate soulmates. Honey, this is not something to take lightly." My breath hitched. My throat felt raw and tears stung behind my eyes. "Then how would rejection be an answer?"

He will make it work for them. Eric walked out of the house and out of the forcefield. He closed it up quickly as he walked away. IN THE PALACE “The red strings is broken, and Chaos is coming,” said William. “Red strings?” asked Eric. “In ancient times red strings are marriage between two fated ones. These fated ones are created by heaven’s will. They will both stop Chaos when it comes clashing into earth. However, because the red strings were undone, Chaos is coming faster than we expected.”

Appearing for a brief moment, a glowing red string between Care and Eli. If only Care paid attention, she would have seen it... the anomaly. Since time immemorial, red string solely binds fated pairs. As to why when she held his hand before and nothing manifested while now it did was a question looming to be raised soon. Was the method given by Gallus at fault or was she?

That amount is better than one thousand that’s why she immediately looked for her wallet but she couldn’t find it in her pocket and only then did she remember that she had left it in her locker. “Don’t you want to know who is inside the booth? Your soulmate may be in there.” “He’s right! Some people say that whoever is on the other end of the red string is the person destined for you.” When he said that, the story of her friends about the red thread came back to her mind again, and wondered at the same time who was behind that bar. She looked up at the sky. “Lord, is this the sign? That whoever the person on the other end of this red string is the person meant for me?”

"Then I will gift this soul a chance; a single chance to rewrite her cruel destiny. If she still pursues the life given by fate, then she will still become a vengeful soul with no chance for reincarnation." Selene opened her left palm. On cue, a beaten red string appeared. The red string was worn out with snapped sides as if someone—or something—tore its other half on purpose; it was a red string that belonged to someone whose other half had long died. "Selene, what are you doing? You know that we cannot do this. It will be against the laws of the Heavens." Remus reached out for Selene's hand but stopped midway upon seeing the tear-stricken silver eyes of his wife.

Except, that he wasn't. He had hope. One of his prisoners had a red string. The string had revealed itself right at the moment Death had raised his scythe. The Red string was the strongest connection anyone could ever have with the Mortal Realm, which meant that he could, when the opportunity would come, send the prisoner there to fetch his Bride for him. Maybe it was a good thing that this war had happened after all, or else, Death would have taken the little mortal, and this chance that he now has would have been gone forever.

“Good! Because in this gala, only fate can choose who you spend your evening with, not you. So let fate choose!” The red scarf hovered right towards the ceiling of the hall and burst into red strings. The red strings rained upon us, tying around our little fingers. “Look for the one on the other end of your red string of fate. Come on! Go on! Meet your dates for the night!” Illumi said excitedly. People started moving around. No red string entangled with the other. Only the two people tied at the ends of a string could touch that string. An empty icy feeling churned in my stomach as I held my string.
