They vanished into a spray of indigo pixels, their "Functions" incinerated by the fact that the Human Soul is Free.

I'd just gotten the girls back to sleep in the middle of the night when I heard screams come from the room Jamie was in. Sarah bursts from her room with a gun and I shake my head. Shit!” one of the Soul Drenching Squirrels was aghast.

Cazer scolded. Unable to come up with a quick response to this she broke eye contact with him momentarily. Seeing that she had calmed down a little, Cazer sighed in exasperation before continuing “Are you even aware what would have transpired if I hadn’t intervened?” Chiri did not answer, but rather clutched at her abdomen as she sat up. Cazer recognized the gesture. Nothing could quite match up to the sensation of having one’s soul forcibly separated from their body. He knew the feeling well. Afterall, commanding shadows demanded an enduring soul, which did not come naturally, even for a Krane.

He added which made Laura gasp with a scoff. "Does being in a state like this look fun to you?– Huh?" She stuttered, her gaze was blank and tears welled up in her eyes. Because after all of it, this kind of situation still scares me. What am I going to do? There’s one thing going on inside my mind. I need to call Roberto. As I was trying to get my phone out of my purse, I silently cursed when I found out that the battery was dead. Why does my life always suck? Did I do something today that resulted in my unluckiness?
