Their smell gave them away. "Humans" grunted at me. How could they have? Asra sighed. "I was hoping so." I nodded and without thinking twice, I made my blades emerge from the darkness. How long had it been since I last got into combat? Maybe I was a little rusty, but it would certainly be enough to deal with those humans, after all, I was still the great black king and had that title for a reason. My body was shrouded in shadows and my eyes shone in a rosy hue, it meant only one thing: my enemies would become empty corpses.

Black. Voices woke me.

The gate screeches, a high-pitched, ear-piercing sound as it responds to Shade's call. The gates clank and groan. A loud, metallic sound, like a rusted gate grinding open for the first time in hundreds of years, rings out as the gates of hell begin to open, and my mind is pulled forward faster. Suddenly, I feel like I'm free-falling, and I can't stop. The call is too loud, too strong, too powerful, and I'm at its mercy, something it doesn't give. My eyes widen when it suddenly feels like something ripped through my chest, grabbed a hold of my heart, and seized it.

I know for a fact that if I was truly settled and contented with what I have for the past centuries, I would have died by now. But I’m not dead, so my heart hasn’t reached it’ contentment. Yada woke from the dream to strange sounds echoing through her skull. The green and red lights had been replaced by total darkness. She sat up slowly holding the side of her head. She felt like a Mack truck had run through her eyes and was certain if she opened her mouth to scream her brain would fall free. She moved, feeling her way in the dark. Yada found an edge and leaned down to guess the depth. She felt nothing. "I wouldn't do that," the sound of a man's voice scared her.

When previously there was cold and darkness, darkness which had a possibility of light of finding something unknown now Blackness enveloped me. Pitch black. Cold, shuddering, chilling Black. It promised to swallow me. It did because I gave myself in. Nothing that I could do. Still, my thought rounded around the fact that; She didn’t come back.

My stomach was in knots, the pain so bad I could not even make it to the bathroom. That was when a shadow fell over me. "What's the matter? Heartache got you wishing for a second chance?" I looked up to see Jack Harris, arms folded, leaning casually against the doorframe, watching me with a detached gaze. He was all in black, his features sharp against the dim light, his eyes unreadable. His lips, though, were perfectly sculpted, even in the half-light. Suddenly, I felt that wave of unfairness wash over me, and before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face.

Just a little… A quick frigid numbness enveloped her body, shaking her from a dreamers sleep. She timidly open her eyes only to encounter a blackness so unnatural that it gripped her in terror and she shut her eyes once again, this time not wanting them to open. She couldn’t move, her body was heavy like stone, and she shivered as she could feel the blackness wrapping around her. It was making small sound. What are those sounds? It doesn’t sound like Abednego.
