He clicked a key, and a series of high-fashion, avant-garde designs appeared on the screen—razor-sharp silhouettes, dark, metallic fabrics, and dramatic, structural aesthetics that looked more like battle gear than evening wear.
"I have a contact," he said, "who can provide the attire. But the makeup, the presentation, the psychological shield—that is on you."
"I can do it," I said, my voice firm. "I know how to build a mask that can survive a war."
