Knowing I didn’t have the heart to ruin a well thought out plan, I headed to the elevator.
All the way to the penthouse, I tried to recall the last time I had gone on a date. Typically, people don’t start a relationship as a married couple, so I wasn’t sure if this was even classified as an ordinary date. It continued to bug me, all the way to my room.
Spotting the long rectangular box on my bed, with a green and silver ribbon around it, I pushed away my thoughts. I could spend the next few hours contemplating it, or I could just accept it and move forward. Carefully pulling at the ribbon, I removed it from the box.
