I had a feeling they were made out of human skin, but I really didn't want to think about it too much. My eyes scanned through the resurrection spell. I had really brushed up on my ancient languages. This one was Sumerian. It looked like it required one thousand souls and the blood of a relative. There were some other ingredients, but nothing hard to get. It had to be done at a major node. Of all the spells, I seemed to gravitate towards this one. If the darkness really was trying to bring my mother back from the dead, this spell was it. If she wasn't, then none of her motives made sense. A clank of dishes on the table snapped me up from my studies.

She died on the spot. In this life, Sally decided to switch paths early and made preparations ahead of time. So she wasn't as vicious toward me as she had been before. Even then, she still failed. Because she never expected me to uncover the truth. Sally refused to accept it. "So what if you figured it out? No one can break the curse. The only person who knew how is dead. Kyla, you're still going to die by my hand in this life." I didn't say a word. I just lifted my hand and showed her my palm.

Lazriel positions the body inside the circle. “This is a window only,” he explains. “A pause. I am not attempting resurrection, only interception.” The air shifts. Even the dungeon seems to sense what he’s attempting. Stopping a soul mid-crossing is not minor magic. It is defiance. He places his hand gently over the hare’s chest.

Logan quickly repeated the same thing with everyone else. Bafflingly, Hans suddenly sputtered and threw up even more blood than before. His eyes had turned completely glassy. His poisoning symptoms had grown worse. "M-Mr. Thompson!" Logan cried. Resurrection was used specifically for poison in the scriptures. Even if the mystique energy failed to neutralize the toxin, it could still protect a person's organs from further attacks. Someone must have already known what Logan was about to do and came up with a countertactic long before he arrived.

The air crackled with energy as the ritual intensified. "We need to stop this," Kai said, his voice filled with urgency. "We can't let them complete the ritual." Before they could act, a powerful force erupted from the altar, knocking them off their feet. Fen's eyes glowed with malevolent energy as he turned to face them. "You think you can stop me?" he sneered. "You're too late. The resurrection has already begun." Kai struggled to his feet, his body aching from the force of the blast. "We won't let you succeed, Fen," he said, his voice unwavering. "We'll fight with everything we have."

Logan carefully put me down, then charged at Niles and they started fighting fiercely. My back hurt so much that I gasped for air. But just then, a bold idea flashed through my mind. Looking at Sophie acting crazy, I knew we couldn't keep the rebirth secret any longer. But more than the rebirth, I needed to create a role for myself. One that could guide Logan to the path I wanted. Logan and Niles were natural enemies. They fought many times. No one had won yet. While Logan was distracted, Niles grabbed Sophie and ran.

Rick waved a weird looking knife at Izaak and signaled for Izaak to come take it. "Rick I'm not ready for your jokes right now," Izaak said angrily, and we turned to face Felix who was still groaning in pain. "It's not a joke," Rick said, as we walked towards Felix. "This knife can kill anyone who uses the resurrection spell," Rick's words made us stop in our tracks, and we turned around after taking a good look at Felix and saw that he wouldn't be standing up on his feet for at least a minute or two.

I didn’t need a crazy, deranged, old woman to tell me who I am or who my mate…was. Dammit Jude! You fucking died on me! I told you there was a trap happening you idiot! It was like a switch turned on inside my head. How did I not remember that from the beginning? I can bring him back! Resurrection spell!

The only emotion that they felt was relief, relief of surviving from that hellish situation. After Luci's death, Merlin started to undo his spell, as his life is continously being taken away every moment the spell is casted. The spell of darkness that covered the whole Kingdom. The darkness started to fade, the light of the sun started to touch the people's skin. As the light reaches the people, so is Luci's remains. Luci's remains started to glow, it was bright that even Merlin's eyes could not bare to stare. As the light continued to glow brighter and brighter, a voice began to appear. It was a familiar voice, a voice that no citizen of the Kingdom ever wanted to hear.

The spell is traveling through his body and without this salve, he will die,” I tell him.
