COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS
Suddenly, a giant shadow-spider leaped from Chapter 76, landing on Maya’s back.
Maya shrieked as the cold, oily weight dragged her down. The spider started wrapping black threads around her neck.
“Get off her!” Julian shouted.
He attacked, but the giant Eye shot a red beam from the darkness. The light hit Julian, and he screamed as his spirit form began to tear.
“Julian!” Maya choked.
The black threads squeezed tighter. She felt her life slipping away. Her vision faded to gray. She looked at the iron key in her hand—it wasn’t hot anymore. It was cold and lifeless.
