It was like stepping into an armory from a medieval fantasy, and I couldn’t help but feel a mix of awe and unease. I wandered further into the room, my gaze darting from one weapon to another. Some were sleek and elegant, while others were jagged and brutal-looking, their designs almost alien. My curiosity tugged at me, but before I could inspect anything too closely, I felt something brush against my leg. I froze. Slowly, I looked down, and my breath caught in my throat. A spider , no, a massive spider, was crawling up my leg. Its body was jet black, its legs long and spindly, and it was unlike any spider I had ever seen before.

The prophecy nonsense. Crawl broke the silence first—of course he did. He deployed his Riot Shield, creating a dome of blue energy around Jinx. The spiders swarmed the shield, exploding in puffs of green smoke. Boom. Boom. Boom.

She was gentle in relocating them as she made an opening big enough for herself to fit through. It wasn't at the same level as but it was close enough. Shadow Arachne then dived out of the tree and landed on the back of the poisonous scorpion, just out of reach of its claws. Following its landing, Shadow Arachne once again spat out a glob of spider silk. This time, it was just ordinary spider silk which was then used to bind the joints of the poisonous scorpion's claws while reeling it in. If a picture was taken of this moment, many viewers would find it funny as it would depict a half meter tall spider riding on the back of a five-meter tall scorpion and is manipulating it like a puppet.

Unlike him, I was covered in ash and smoke and no matter who I told, they would never believe it if I told them I hadn’t taken a dive into a dirty furnace. I led Spider to the wall I had realized was movable and as expected, it was password protected. That wasn’t a big deal for Spider. He cracked it within a minute and got us in. Luckily, the room was not booby trapped. Which didn’t make much sense. Weren’t the Arcieros supposed to be overly cautious?

I'm in no position to do anything right now, at least not if I want to get out of this alive. Time to leave... Plan... ... then return... I'm about to leave when an idea strikes. Phone in hand, I snap each of the faces inside. The lighting's a bit raw, but it's good enough for this. Ducking under the window ledge, I creep back along the balcony and make my way down again. My suit's suffering. It's meant for lounging and strolling in, not for playing Spiderman. From the lowest balcony level, I hang on with my fingers as low as I can then let myself drop, landing on my toes.
