I cried, seeing his nails turn into sharp claws. "This will hurt only for a moment." He chuckled, raising his hand to strike. "No!" The shriek that came out of my throat pulled out an unknown mass of energy. The electric spider web entwined my arms and then exploded from my fingertips, hitting that man's chest with a ball of white light. I closed my eyes, sensing the odd force wrapping around me like a warm blanket. Several heartbeats passed... No attack came.
