Spirit Fox Novels & Stories

This is exciting. I whispered under my breath, "Kitsune." The little boy heard and gave me another hug. I'm guessing that's a yes. According to the legends, a Kitsune is a fox spirit that develops a tail every one hundred years. When it reaches its thousandth year and grows its final ninth tail, the Kitsune changes color from orange to either white or gold thus becoming a divine fox with godly powers. Judging by the looks of this boy, he still has one tail which makes him a young Kitsune.

Dark spirits. Talon growls, stepping protectively in front of me. “Stay close.” The spirits lunged. I dodged, my claws unsheathing as i fight back. But the spirits didn’t fight like wolves. They move like wisps of smoke, slipping through attacks and striking with unnatural speed. Talon swipes at one, but his claws pass through it like air. “We cannot fight them like this,” I realized. “They are not solid!” Talia’s voice rings in my mind. “Use the light! Phoenix use the light!”

The crowd of Genetic Fighters all looked at Lucas and the Spirit Family. 'The Spooky Ocean of the northern area had yet to be activated, yet it's already this intense.' "Who are you?" Lucas looked at the Spirit Family before him faintly and his face put on a lazy expression. "My name's Tenth Spirit." That Spirit Family said to Lucas. Lucas smirked and his face put on a devilish smile. "Why do you even speak to me?" He looked at Tenth Spirit faintly.

I saw the glint of the knife and those strange markings on it. I said a brief prayer and started running. The tunnel was wide, musty and dark. A rat passed my leg and I jumped with fright. Something told me rats were going to be the least of my problems. My right eye had lost its sight so I was left to navigate with my left eye. "Six", he called out. His voice was faint, very faraway and I believe I would soon be out of this tunnel and into the arms of freedom. I was running as fast as my weak legs would take me and ,I assure you, I was going fast.

Guess I had spoken too soon. One thing I had known about the wolves was their inability to keep it in their pants during the full moon. Their blood ran hotter than normal during this time as their goddess in the sky beckoned them to procreate. How fortunate, then that I took more after my mother. She was a kitsune, a fox of mystic and magic. Rather than run wild and allow herself to be controlled by the moon, she maintained control over her senses. My father told me stories about her all the time.

"I don't feel too good," Iris murmured. "Sit down. I'll do the spell." "What? No! You just recovered from a...um...possession?" Saoirse shook her head. "Sit down, Iris. I'm totally fine." Iris obliged, and Saoirse began to chant.

“What?” “You are the most unique human I’ve met,” answered Bobby, seriously, which was highly unusual of him. “What do you mean?” I question, slowly. “I can see peoples’ auroras, and yours is different. Most humans are either white or yellow, witches are red, Annabella was all red, meaning she was powerful. I’m half red and half white, so I’m not as powerful in magic. Yours is… well mostly white, yet there is bits of red and black mixed in, blended. You’re powerful in some way, but I don’t know how. Maybe it was your aurora that brought on the ghost that first day of school, because a ghost’s aurora is black,” explained Bobby.

Life in the south was better than I could have imagined. I was put in charge of the Silver Moon Pack’s most sacred sanctuary, home to rare silver foxes, snow wolves, and the legendary moon-stags. My innate bond with the wild finally had a place to thrive. Whenever I walked through the sanctuary, the animals would approach me on their own. Silver foxes would brush their fluffy tails against my palm. Snow wolf pups would roll around at my feet, begging for attention. The pack members looked at me with open adoration.

When I finally heard him, my blood ran cold. “Come here foxy fox. Come here, foxy fox. I wanna play some more.” Did my green eyes really give me away as the Fox, or was it a coincidence, because he seemed to like to give nicknames to the people he harassed? I sat in that tree for what seemed like forever. Besides my heartbeat, I heard nothing and saw nothing of Ezra.
