Her hair was now a lovely shade of blonde with blue tips that covered the last six inches. The soft blue curls were colored specifically to match her dress. It worked.

Yet, when faced with an eighty-nine year old woman who owned the admiration and respect of Anya's boyfriend, she was ready to pretend she had the plague and cut her losses. "She has blue hair," stated Evelyn Schmidt, glaring at Anya and her offensive hair through thick glasses. Anya tried an experimental, plaguey sounding cough. Nope. She never had been good at lying. "It's also black," she pointed out lamely. The silence that greeted her reply instigated more babbling. "And sometimes it's red, pink or platinum! It changes with my moods, really." I say. She nods her head and begins to get to work. It seems like it takes forever for her to cut my hair down to the length that we want. As she takes inches off my hair, it seems to get lighter and lighter. No wonder people like their hair shorter. Once she is satisfied with my length, she moves back to Scarlett to wash her hair out. They talk of hair styles for her while washing out the color. When they return, I am shocked to see that Scarlett's hair is a dark, almost midnight blue. The color is amazing.

She dried her hair, the dark strands falling around her face like a shadow. It sharpened her features. It made her skin look like porcelain, her heterochromatic eyes—one icy blue, one warm hazel—pop with startling intensity.

She carried hair of a blast of vibrant colours in Rasta twists, dreads, dependent on her moods complementarily on her head which was never enough space to express the blast within with colours of carefully selected flamboyant petals combined.

I listened to my friend's response and smiled in a corner. "I was just thinking." I ran my hand through my hair. "But hey, true, I'm going to dye my hair tomorrow. How about green?" I asked them, I hated sticking with the original color of my hair. "Um, I think blue will look better." Lilith commented. "It will highlight your eyes." "Actually, it's red, the really neon one, it'll be easy to spot her in the middle of the forest." Benny spoke up. "I like the original color, it looks like it's for..." I covered Brook's mouth, before she could finish.

" I said to him, but he just shook his head. "Well, I don't know. But if you want to do another revenge, COUNT ME IN!" He said that, and I was surprised when he said that. He smiles so happily at me. "Really?! Yes, I've got you on my team. Welcome teammate." I high-fived with him, and now we're putting dye in Brandon's shampoo. It is because he once made my hair turn blue, and when I said blue, I meant it was really blue. I can't go out with my boyfriend because of him for a few days. This is payback. I put pink on it. After that, I replaced his favourite cologne with pepper spray, but not to make it too obvious, I made the bottle the same with the exact cologne. I know I am brilliant.

It flickers for barely a second, but I see it. The blue eyes remain.

That night, Chase sent word to me that he wanted to meet me at Crimlion. "Daphne, see you at ten o'clock tonight." I snorted and set my glass down.
