Bonnie was back in his life, just as fast as she left. Clint stared out the window, waiting for Bonnie to return. She left right after supper, a supper he cooked, and she barely ate, saying she was going dancing. He tried to get her to stay home, watch a Disney movie with him and Abigail, but Bonnie only laughed at him as she snatched her purse off the table by the front door and left. She never even said goodnight.

I can’t stand seeing Gaia’s hurt look, nor Athena asking me to talk to Carolina. Bonnie gently places her hand on my arm and smiles. “I can’t explain this, but I believe that, somehow, you two are soulmates. Maybe that’s the most logical explanation for us to accept your friendship. It’s time for you to make things right.” My wife says. I took a deep breath, looking at everyone who was there, some confused because they didn’t understand what was happening, and others expecting everything to be resolved. Bonnie leads me to the office, and Bruno holds his wife’s hand, with the security guard right behind them.

she sighs, “that’s life, huh? Screws us all sideways whether we’re ready or not.” A beat passes. Then she says, “I’m coming over. This evening.” I don’t argue. I just whisper, “Okay.” Bonnie arrives just before dusk. The sky is streaked in lavender and rust as she pulls up in her car, steps out in high boots and an oversized coat. “I can’t believe my brother was stupid enough to move in next door to you,” she says by way of greeting, hand on her hip, eyebrow raised. I laugh. I shrug. “That’s Logan.”

And then after that, she would repeat the same cycle she had these days: Wait for his return, have a little bit of rest, eat, and then repeat. Bonnie looked up from the book she had been reading, "Go ahead and rest." "Aren't you gonna do the same as well?" she asked her. She jumped from the crooked windowsill where she had been sitting in the morning, and now it is early afternoon. "I will, soon after I finish a chapter." "Alright, then." "See you at dinner," Bonnie said before she left. "I will," she replied. As she near her bedroom door, she came across Suzanne walking in the opposite direction. When they met in between, both of the ladies stopped to give each other acknowledging smile.

“Melody, there is nothing wrong. When Bonnie and Christine see it for the first time, they will be ecstatic. Now, go get dressed. You have to walk down with Bonnie.” Bonnie’s dress was lace with embroidery around her cuffs and hem. The back was see through and fit tightly to her form. The neckline was low, allowing Branden to mark her. “Bonnie, you look amazing.” “It feels funny not having Mom and Dad here. That damn hurricane had to come now.” “They are safe at the rescue center, and you don’t have to worry about them.”

Lyle yelled. “Shh,” River hushed Lyle. Lyle and I laughed. River finished ordering the food while I made coffee. Lyle ran back up the stairs. River came up behind me and buried his face in my neck. River trailed his lips up and down. “Shower with me later?” “Mm, sure,” I mumbled. I leaned into him. It was the easiest question I had to answer all day. “I should probably go check on Bonnie.” Bonnie hadn't been feeling well. The doctors gave her until March at best, but they said she may not even make it to Christmas. Bonnie had her good and bad days. Lately, it seemed that she had more bad days than good.

she said, barely pausing long enough to get the words out before taking another bite. “Yeah?” Dylan looked up. “He loves spicy,” she replied with a smile. She looked around. “Actually, I think he'd love this place.” “I can't wait to meet him,” Dylan replied. Bonnie swallowed hard. That meant future. She looked up and found herself wanting her brother to meet Dylan. She wanted to have Christmas here with the two of them and PawPaw. She could see a whole future where the two men of her life were friends. She wanted it.

The anger flared up in me, and I raised a hand to push them toward the door. "Get out. You're not welcome here." "Ella, are you finished throwing your fit?" Warren braced a hand on the doorframe, his face like a storm. "I'm not throwing a fit." I looked straight into his eyes and said it plainly. "This full moon, we go to the Moonlight Spring, and we break the bond. Officially." Warren blinked, then scoffed. "Break the bond? Ella, you're just jealous of Maya. Can’t you drop this already?"

No one could deny he was handsome, but he was also dangerous, he had quite a short temper and I had seen him pinning a wolf to a locker one too many times. His eyes flickered to me and I immediately put my head down, focusing my attention back on Micah as he rambled on about this Saturday. It was Sin's birthday and he was turning 18. So naturally there was to be a ball on Saturday, everyone in the neighbouring packs were required to attend. He was obviously intending to find his mate, the future Luna of his pack. I had already bought my dress. But I wasn't expecting much out of Saturday, my suspicions led me to believe that Lacey was going to be his mate.

Chloe Brooks wrinkled her nose at the smell of my burned foot—it was just too much for her. Thomas Wells had his servants toss me right out of the doors. I slumped against the wall, shivering from the pain. In the background, the TV in the living room droned on about a nasty typhoon hitting us tonight. There I was, in just a light jacket, in the dead of winter. I banged on the window, crying out, "Thomas, please! Let me in! The typhoon's coming, and I'll die out here!"
