Liza held Cybelle’s hand and said, “Can I go with you?” Cybelle looked at her half-sister intently and sighed. “Okay, but I’ll ask Xandra’s permission first,” she said and Liza nodded. “She can go with us,” Xandra said when she heard Liza’s request. “Thank you, Xandra,” Liza said and gave Xandra a grateful smile. Xandra just nodded and took Cybelle’s hand from Liza and walked towards the dragon, where the other’s already waiting.

I stood behind her so that they would have a full view of her; after all, she was the Luna. “On behalf of the alpha, I want to specially welcome you all to our pack, Axelland,” Lyra said warmly, her voice carrying authority yet kindness. “Most of you know me as I have been with you for the past year. But for those who don’t know me, my name is Lyra. I am Damien’s mate, and this is Denise, his sister. He has been incredibly busy, but he extends his wishes and says he will come and see you when he has the time.”

Spiro is laughing heartedly. "He's of the dark foolish human, nothing can change what he truly is," he sneers, his red eyes directed at me. I grab Nyx's arm and he turns to look at me. He is scowling angrily at me, I frown and push light into him. He blinked a few times, his eyes glowing once again light green. He grins at me and turns to his father. I watched as Spiro prepared another ball of dark energy, his anger directed at me. I move my hands quickly, putting up a shield. He smirks and the ball changes into a pointed rod that he thrust into Nyx's side. My eyes widened and I screamed watching Nyx falling, his blood darkening the ground around him. Grabbing my side I gasped at the pain. I

He rolled his head forward and let out a long sigh.

"You have spent ten thousand years consuming yourselves because you lacked the earth to ground your heat. My blood is not a tribute to your power; it is a medicine for your burnout." Cinder stepped forward, her obsidian tipped spear lowered but her amber eyes filled with a desperate and predatory hunger. She held out a small, sun-fired clay bowl. Maya pulled a small silver-edged blade from her belt and made a tiny, precise incision on the palm of her hand. As the single drop of Silver Crest blood hit the bottom of the bowl, the reaction was not violent. It did not explode into flame.

Sphinx nods seemingly unsure. I glance towards the boys as in giving them the reign to take over, it feels too bothersome for me. “Please remove your hood then we can discuss the matter further.” James says sternly.
