"Squad B, eastern stairs! Go!" Squad B was a twelve-man crew with suppressed rifles. Instead of moving, the squad leader stopped dead, lowered his barrel, and stared at Taro through his night-vision goggles. "Did you hear me?!" Taro shouted over the gunfire. "Take the stairs!" The squad leader didn't answer. He turned his back on Taro, waved a lazy hand to his men, and marched his entire crew toward the rear exit, walking straight away from the fight. "Hey!" Taro's blood went hot in his chest. "Where the hell do you think you're going? Get back in line!"

I replied without hesitation. “So who’s going?” Liam asked, looking around warily. “The three of us,” I gestured to myself, Alpha Bruce, and Liam, “and Grace. We join them. Keep eyes on every corner. And if there’s anything to gain from this chaos... we’ll be the ones holding the knife when it comes.” THE BLOOD LUNA. I don’t wait for a reply, I turn and walk towards the exit, Carlos following behind, a big grin visible on his face. As we leave the church, the rest of my squad, including my maid of honor, follows behind us. We reach the limo, and we all get in. My Reaper squad are made up of the best trained within the Hernandez clan, there are 3 females and 2 males that make up the unit and besides Carlos they the only other people I trust with my life.

BLADE Chapter One Emiliana's POV At the moment, the only thing on my mind was how to get out of this tight, exposing, goddamn wedding dress. The driver pulled over at a huge mansion. The bodyguards alighted and opened the car door for us. I stepped down and turned back, expecting my husband to step out of the car but he stepped out from the other side and slammed the door shut. I was startled by his action. Then he began to walk inside without waiting for me.

“Good. Make sure to monitor the rest of the island and to look for any suspicious activity. Squad 1-A will be joining you from now on.” The four of us flinched, hearing the name of our squad. I looked at Gabriella and they were already staring at us. She didn’t look scary or intimidating, but she had this cold stare that looks like she doesn’t want us. “I’m Red Quinscity, leader of the squad. Pleased to meet you,” I introduced and extended my hand.

"Good morning LIN!" Ashley bowed shortly. Alex patted her head as he walked by. The rest greeted him with less vigour, Andrew way less than the others. "I suppose you are Squad 10, aren't you?" he looked at them. "Yup! That's us all right!" Ethan affirmed, smiling widely. Alex adjusted his glasses and smiled back at him. He turned to them all. "Okay then. Let's get down to business as I have somewhere else to be."

Frederic continues to complain while I on the other hand actually focus on patrolling. Squad 8 was chosen for the patrol along with Squad 7; we were roughly 18 Legionnaires. Squad 8 consisted of Quintus the one eyed soldier, Pal’lacon the Veteran, Frederick the glutton, Varkii who was our leader, The four poets; Kant, Darren, Stephen, Matthew and lastly, I. Squad 7 did not have a leader so for now they deferred to Varkii. If the circumstances were any different I would have been complaining along with Frederick. But the members of Squad 7 had a stern look that enveloped their eyes. They seemed to be on alert, actually watching out for something.
