Before the second man could react, Adrian drove forward like a storm breaking loose, one hand locking around the man’s wrist, the other smashing the gun barrel upward just as it fired.

The entire club exploded into shouts. Bouncers rushed forward, but Luka swung the gun toward them. “Anyone who comes close gets shot!” he shouted. His friends hollered, egging him on like wild dogs. Spider wiped his face slowly, his jaw tight. “Ladies,” he muttered quietly to Sandra and me. “Just… apologize. Quickly. Let’s de-escalate.”
