I decided to have a little fun. “SQUIRRELS!” I yelled. Every dog’s head popped up simultaneously as they froze in place, as though shocked by the notion of a squirrel with the audacity to enter their space. I burst out laughing as they took off in different directions, a flurry of furry chaos. Flappers huffed, and I swear I saw him roll his eyes. I could practically hear him saying, “Seriously, you fell for it again?” Tara jumped with a shriek, scrambling to get out of their way. She saw me, the culprit, and her eyes narrowed into daggers. Not for long, a moment later she smiled, like the sun shining through dark clouds.

Millie's P.O.V. I stared at the dead squirrel on my pillow and screamed. Not because I was terrified of it but because I laid down next to it. My face almost touched its disgusting body. I felt my face heat up in embarrassment so again I looked down and fiddled on my hand.

Silently, I crawled onto the floor and peeped around the corner to see the furball on the counter having a feast of peanuts. Sitting on the countertop, he took another peanut out of the small bowl that Mikayla left for him and cracked the shell with his teeth. He nibbles on the nut, oblivious to the dangerous predator that lurks in the dark. Slithering in front of the island, in measured timing, Try sprang in the air. Suddenly, a furry creature with a big tail jumped out of a nearby tree. It was a cute little squirrel with round, bright eyes! "Squirrel!" Emily's fear quickly turned to joy: "Wolfgang! This is the squirrel that I used to see when I was little! It's still so cute! It's waving its tail at me!" Wolfgang pointed to the trees before them: "There are more over there."
