BLOOD AND MOONLIGHT
The light dimmed, then pulsed white-hot as stars began to bleed.
“No…” Emily whispered, staring up. “They’re coming.”
Above her, through the rift, golden figures began to descend.
The Celestials.
Only now… they were armed.
Each one shimmered with celestial armor, weapons forged from dying stars, eyes devoid of mercy. This was not judgment.
This was war.
“You’ve declared yourself outside the cycle,” a voice thundered from the rift.
“You broke the order,” said another.
“You chose the shadow,” they said in unison, “Now bear its consequence.”
