She saw the red dragon soaring down for another attack when she suddenly transformed into her phoenix and broke through the wall. Fueled by anger, the Phoenix flew directly into the red dragon, slicing his neck open. He tried to sink his teeth into her, and she kicked him with both feet. He quickly sunk his talon into her thigh, and she screeched in pain. The dragon hit her in the head with his powerful tail and knocked her out. Cyrus had her now, and he took off with her in his talons.

He’s wearing a black tuxedo and looks yummy enough to be my dessert for tonight after the Art exhibit Fundraising event hosted by Hughes Industries. “Wanna have a quickie first before we go to the exhibit?” Phoenix asks, smirking, and I’m literally drooling over him. “I spent half an hour just to like this,” I say, motioning to my floor-length off-shoulder black dress. “I’m not gonna ruin just for a quickie, and we’ll gonna be late anyway.”

With Miguel's return to the room, the two could come across two guys standing at his door, one with brown hair in a well-aligned haircut, a shaved beard and standing with his hands in his pockets while the other was talking super excitedly, gesturing a lot. This one had dark blond hair combed back. As Miguel approached the duo, he put his hand on Catherine's shoulder, making her look at him a little scared at first. His hand was warm, and he had to take a step to his side, which made her smell his wonderful scent. It was Miguel's perfume, with a woody odor that matched perfectly with his lumberjack style. The trance in her mind was broken when she heard him introduce her.

Phoenix also has a face that screams “don’t mess with me.” Even though he’s smiling at me, I can see something in his eyes. Something I can’t explain. Part of me wants to reach out and touch him—to know instantly what his story is. I want to know who hurt him. Phoenix has dark brown eyes. They’re so dark that they’re almost black. Whenever the moon hits them just right, they glow slightly. I’m beginning to think that either I’m crazy too, or that wolf shifters really do exist.
