If she had not been stopped, she would have blinded both his eyes, rendering him useless. Stacey slept on her bed, not able to close her eyes, unable to do anything. She just laid there, her mind blank, her eyes staring directly at something she could not even say. A sense of emptiness filled her up, one she couldn’t tell where it came from. For the first time in her life, she didn’t know what to do, she couldn’t feel herself, she felt as useless as she has felt in all the time of her life combined together.

He hadn't said much during the ceremony other than at the altar but now he just sitting stiffly next to me, watching the reception. I reached forward and picked up the champagne glass that was on the table in front of me, before whirling the contents of it around absentmindedly. That was when I noticed, out of the corner of my eye that he was staring at me. That same unfathomable gaze that always met me momentarily stared at me before flicking back to the floor, though I wasn't sure if I was supposed to feel terrified or puzzled by the blankness of his eyes. I couldn't feel anything from his gaze, it was always so empty and hollow as if it didn't contain a person behind them.

Like what he said, I held it with both of my hands and just focused on it. “This starfish is really pretty,” I said to him, trying to make my self calm. I don’t want to think of wordly things as he is just trying to make me enjoy here. “Yeah, its so pretty, really pretty,” he said and I faced him again. He ain’t looking at the starfish when he said that. His eyes are directly on to me. He’s not taking them of me. We started at each other for a while and I decided to let go of that stare. His face was unreadable, calm as ever, but somehow, that just made him even more… devastating. I was staring. And I knew I was staring. But my eyes wouldn’t cooperate. They were glued to him like they had nowhere else to be. Like they didn’t care that this was technically inappropriate. Like they didn’t care that he was blind and probably had no clue— “Don’t tell me you’re staring at me,” his voice broke through the haze—low, amused, and sharp. “I know I can’t see… but it’s obvious you’re boring holes into my body.”

Heart still thudding from that stare, I glance back toward the car. But it’s empty.

He opened his eyes and say up on his elbow , looking at me with a blank stare and I couldn't make out any emotions on his face "Sorry man, I didn't mean for this to happen. I swear " I said, cussing at my irresponsible behavior. I have always had everything under control, till mr quarterback player that bragged about gyms expert. I waited for him to say anything, anything at all and I still got the blank look. Okay at least any reaction? None too. I folded my hands as we stared at each other. I tried my best to take everything in, too scared that this might be the last time I will set my eyes on this guy.
