🎀CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE🎀 The courtyard was tense. The two masked figures faced each other, eyes locked, ready to strike. The first masked man lunged, fists flying. The newcomer didn’t flinch. He blocked, ducked, and swung his two daggers. One of the blades caught the other man’s cheek, drawing a thin line of blood, but he stayed on his feet. The masked man reacted immediately, grabbed the daggers midair, and struck back. Sparks flew as the blades met. He kicked hard, sliding his boot across the stone, but the newcomer jumped aside, landing lightly, daggers ready again.

*FREYA* “Get the blades, Dorian!” Blood drains from my face. “Alpha... ” Dorian steps forward, shooting the Alpha a look which he doesn't return. “What are you waiting for? Bring them out,” His voice holds no room for arguments. Dorian exhales sharply, gives a nod and walk over to the rack. He retrieves two four edged cross daggers, their blades catching the light and almost blinding my vision. He hesitates for a heartbeat before tossing them to the Alpha who catches them in the air.

Samuel straddles my stomach as he hammers into my face repeatedly with his fists. I buck my hips wildly, dislodging him only enough to release my arms and provide my face some much-needed protection. Timing his punches, I slip under his arm and snake my way out of the old and stumble to standing. I wipe the blood from the gash above my eye so I can see and turn to see him stalking towards me. Reaching down, I grab out my daggers at my thighs and hold them blade facing down in my hand. I run for him, ducking as he reaches out to grab me and slice him up and under his arm. He turns, grinning.
