"What in all the gods names has happened to yo-" "RAH!" In the blink of an eye there was a roaring inferno of life reflecting from her eyes, she flung back the cloak producing two daggers and plunging them deep into the man's neck.

Atlas’s roar echoes through him into me, fierce and triumphant, and for a heartbeat the world is only us—his ocean-mist scent, the steady strength of his hold, the unspoken vow in his gaze. Kael’s voice cuts through gently. “You okay, princess? Dagger’s bound to you now—gave you one hell of a d******d.” I nod, throat tight, managing a shaky smile. “I saw them… my parents. The whole line.” My voice is raw, the weight of centuries pressing down, but the dagger’s warmth steadies me, its ruby glowing soft and sure. Dax exhales, hand on Kai’s shoulder, while the warriors maintain their protective ring, eyes scanning the shadows. The shrine’s hum has quieted, but the air feels charged, expectant.

He scowled with a hateful gaze her way. “This bitch! I’m going to teach you a fucking lesson,” he howled and pulled out a dagger from the pouch around his waist. My eyes widened at the weapon; it was no ordinary dagger; it was made from silver, and splotches of red liquid dripped from it to the floor. “I heard yelling here; what’s going on, Doc?” another intruder entered the room. If I didn’t realize how much danger we were in before, I surely did then. “I’m going to enjoy killing this tiny thing,” Doc spat to his colleague.

She caught herself against the wall, her eyes locking onto Julia’s with a menacing glare. Julia’s eyes widened in fear—escape impossible. “Uhm?” Olivia’s gaze slowly rose to meet Julia’s. “What just happened, Julia?” She asked and took a step forward, and Julia mirrored her movement, taking a step back. Olivia moved forward again, and Julia retreated, her back hitting the wall. “You want me to fall and die…” Julia slowly sank to her knees, her hands dropping from her abdomen as she instinctively raised them to shield her face, anticipating the blow since Olivia’s arms were already rising, ready to strike—and harder than before.

I pleaded with him as he growled, his eyes darkening as he growled even more. “Stop it!” I ordered, and she tilted her head, regarding me. Then turn to her man, giving him an affirmative nod. The man grabbed one knife and stabbed Dave in his ribs and he screamed as if he was burnt with fire. My heart raced with every scream, making me want to go after her. “You know the Moon daggers, right? From what I hear, it is good if you want to burn someone’s insides. But not only that, it penetrates your wolf,” she says.

I tried again and again and it was successful. I took a step forward and damn, the pain between my legs was terrible. I found it so hard to take the second step. Then the bathroom door burst opened. He walked in with water dripping from his hair down to his abs. A towel was wrapped around his waist. I stared up at his muscular chest. I cleared my throat so I would stop staring. We might end up on the bed again. "Stop staring at me like that or I might fuck your brains out next." He scowled at me and I looked away. I ignored the pains between my legs and proceeded to the bathroom.

"Alex Carter, you've become quite the thorn in our side. We cannot allow you to expose the truth. It's time for you to pay for your curiosity." It was a chilling confrontation, but Alex's determination remained unyielding. "You won't silence me," they declared, their voice filled with defiance. "The world deserves to know the truth, no matter the cost." A fierce battle erupted in the alley, bullets tearing through the air. Alex's team, always prepared for the unexpected, swiftly came to their aid. Mia's lightning-fast strikes incapacitated their attackers one by one, while Gabriel utilized his hacking skills to disable their weapons.

🎀CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE🎀 The courtyard was tense. The two masked figures faced each other, eyes locked, ready to strike. The first masked man lunged, fists flying. The newcomer didn’t flinch. He blocked, ducked, and swung his two daggers. One of the blades caught the other man’s cheek, drawing a thin line of blood, but he stayed on his feet. The masked man reacted immediately, grabbed the daggers midair, and struck back. Sparks flew as the blades met. He kicked hard, sliding his boot across the stone, but the newcomer jumped aside, landing lightly, daggers ready again.

Drogo growls weakly in my head as he nearly surfaces. “You bastard!” I'm too blinded by rage that I don't see his dagger coming for me. “Watch out!”

Samuel straddles my stomach as he hammers into my face repeatedly with his fists. I buck my hips wildly, dislodging him only enough to release my arms and provide my face some much-needed protection. Timing his punches, I slip under his arm and snake my way out of the old and stumble to standing. I wipe the blood from the gash above my eye so I can see and turn to see him stalking towards me. Reaching down, I grab out my daggers at my thighs and hold them blade facing down in my hand. I run for him, ducking as he reaches out to grab me and slice him up and under his arm. He turns, grinning.
