The room grew colder. She looked directly at my stomach. Not at me.At my stomach. Hatred flashed across her face. "There you are." Damian woke up instantly. "Ariana!" Ilyas moved first. Faster than anything I had ever seen. A silver dagger appeared in her hand. Her target wasn't me. It wasn't Damian. It was the baby. Rage exploded inside me. Pure rage. Ilyas was thrown backward. But she landed softly. As if she had expected it. Damian attacked.

But not on my watch. I moved quickly, entering the hallway and finding the room. Inside were three men, eyes wild with fury. “Who the hell are you?!” one barked, stepping forward. I scanned the room—Paige wasn’t there. “She’s not here,” I muttered. “Hey, I asked you a question!” the man snapped again, fists clenching. They began to circle me. I couldn’t kill them—that would change too much. But I could put them to sleep. Reapers have tricks beyond death.

Greg wanted to end the man before he even got to know him because of that. “Does it matter?” Greg asked. He was as stubborn as anyone else when he was pushed into a corner. He would never back down when it came to protecting her, though. That was his goal. If he could also agitate the other man in the process, that would be an added bonus. “I want to know your name!” Daimian demanded, nearly screaming like his mother had done before. Kristen had not even flinched. He knew this was an everyday thing then. That made him slightly angry as well. How did no one see it before she was in high school?

LENNOX A frown morphs its way through Ashford’s facial features and his lips paused into a thin line. “What do you want to talk about?” He asks, looking around my office, like it’s his first time coming over. I heave out a sigh and cross my hands beneath the swell of my breasts. I’m gritting my teeth until he returns his gaze back to me. “What?” His brows deepen. “Why are you staring at me that way? Like you want to eat me for lunch.” A playful smile stretches across his lips.

Her body continued its descent, taking him into her hot sheath, clenching tightly around him, pushing him deeper until he was inside her to the hilt. For a moment he couldn’t move for fear he’d spill instantly. She seemed to understand and remained completely still. Samson turned his head to his nightstand. A ceremonial dagger glinted in the dim candlelight as he took it in his hand. Isabella's eyes followed his movements. He led the blade to his shoulder and pressed it down where his neck and his shoulder met. Drawing the dagger forward, he cut through his skin. He felt the trickle of blood instantly and set the dagger aside.

Maya stared into the horizon. Darkness churned ahead. She tightened her grip on the dagger. “We finish this. One way or another.”

Davidson sped towards Davies immediately. His feet dug into the metallic platform strongly as he pushed himself forward. His eyes flashed coldly with each step he took, gleaming brightly in the dark like two dangerous orbs. Wielding both daggers, he swung his arms towards Davies, covering every possible escape route for the latter.

Inhaling a breath, he stabs the dagger… Onto the sheet. As he releases my body from his shadow, I wrap the sheet around my chest. “I will find him.” Having said that, he grabs the dagger and walks away. We got into another argument, never enjoying a moment of peace.
