Domenico POV: There are moments in life of crisp clarity, like a camera lens focusing or a breath of fresh air after swimming. You see things just as they are, not as you wanted them to be; every little piece of information you neglected to cover, your own fears they shine brightly.

With a steadying breath, Aqua placed her hands over her heart and concentrated, allowing her thoughts to drift like leaves carried on the wind. “Mom… Dad…” she whispered, her voice trembling yet resolute. “If you can hear me, please, I need you.” A tingling sensation enveloped her as the air thickened with energy, crackling around her like static electricity. The room dimmed, shadows shifting as if responding to her call. In that moment, she felt a pull—a gravitational force drawing her inward, deeper into the essence of the universe. “Let me hear you,” she urged, pouring her heart into her words. “I’m ready.”

The nexus paused mid collapse, a jagged equilibrium forming between immense pressure and relentless defiance. Lyra gasped, sweat and energy crackling along her skin. She glanced at Kael, his eyes glimmered, exhausted but alive. The twins shimmered beside her, frost curling delicately, flame flickering unpredictably, yet steady. And above, beyond, around, the void waited. Watching. Calculating. Then a single, low resonance echoed across the space Lyra’s pulse slammed against her chest. She knew immediately, this was far from over. And as the void quivered with anticipation, one undeniable thought surged through her mind:

Like it was easier to hold than anything else we had said so far. The void spoke again. “What is small?” Isabella looked around. Then back at it. “Right now,” she said slowly, “small is just noticing without changing anything.” A pause. “Like… you noticing us. Without trying to fix or become anything from it.” The void processed that. “I am doing that now.” Astra nodded slightly. “Yeah. You are.” The void responded. “I do not feel urgency.” Lyra exhaled. “That’s new for you.” The void agreed.

“If we don’t stop this weaver, the balance we fought for means nothing.” The path twisted, its obsidian surface growing smoother, almost liquid, reflecting their faces with unsettling clarity. The air thickened, carrying whispers not Lysara’s, not Arachne’s, but a single, resonant voice that seemed to come from within. “You cannot outrun the void.” Jessica’s hollowness pulsed, and she saw fleeting images: a nexus of black stars, a figure cloaked in darkness, and a loom weaving threads of pure absence.

Something felt different tonight. Closer. “Do you hear them?” I whispered. Void tilted his head slightly. “No.” I looked at him in surprise. “You can’t?” Void’s shadows curled thoughtfully around his hands. “I feel them.” That made sense somehow. The Quiet Stars suddenly flickered brighter. One lantern drifted lower than the others. Then lower. Then lower. Until it hovered directly in front of the balcony. Void immediately straightened. Protective shadows spread softly around me. Not threatening. Careful.

My gaze dropped to the floor as I ambled toward where he stood by the door, one hand shoved in his pocket while he leaned against the doorframe. I was fully clothed, yet I felt naked under his scrutiny. Because the way Void stared wasn't the way normal humans stared at people. He usually stared at me with so much intensity, like I was a puzzle he was hell bent on solving. Yet, the motherfucker derived joy in hurting me. I stopped in front of him. He was standing in the way, so I couldn't exactly go any further. Why the hell was he taking so long to move from the door? And what was he staring at?

Of destiny. The void is no longer empty.

The girl screamed as Phil was flung away out of her dream by a strong force. Phil found himself once more floating in the plains of sleep, the figure of the girl vanished as she was pulled by the tether connected on her head. Phil was still confused and wanted to explore more but he felt himself getting tired and ended his adventures early. As Phil vanished and return to the real world, far above the shallows, in the deepest void littered by enchanting swirling galaxies, a star shimmered brightly and within moments it moved an eye formed in the void, as it opened cosmos and galaxies poured out of its pupils. A voice was then heard as it was talking to itself.

The air… if there was any… felt alive, pressing against me from all sides. And then I felt it. Eyes. Watching. Dozens, maybe hundreds, all fixed on me from somewhere in the void. Then whispers rose, a sickening sound—distorted, broken, overlapping like a thousand voices speaking at once in a languages I didn’t understand. A shiver ran straight down my spine. If you stare into the void too long, it will stare back. Cael’s words came out of nowhere, slicing through the noise. I turned slowly, but there was nothing to see—only darkness.
