The Brightest Star

The Brightest Star

Some spiral symbols were also decorating his head, starting from the top of his skull--since he was bald, they were noticeable--ending up below his eyes. "No, I told you! My name is Sirius! The brightest star!" the boy shouted as he pointed his finger towards the sky. The shimmering sea of the universe, although unfamiliar compared to the one he was used to, was the only thing that made the boy feel nostalgic about his former world. If only that geezer stopped calling him Astar, it would be great. "Astar!" the man repeated as he shook his head and pointing toward the sky too. "No, I am Sirius!"

Rise of the Phoenix

Rise of the Phoenix

A space that had no limits and rules. “See that star that’s shining brightest north from us?” Luke pointed out with his hand, and Sarah followed. “That’s North Star.” He waited for Sarah’s confirmation before he continued. “It’s part of the Ursa Minor. And on the left… there’s Andromeda and Perseus… little further is Orion… but now look over there…” he again pointed with his hand, and Sarah had to shift a bit to see what exactly Luke had in mind. “That star that’s shining more brightly than all the others… see?”

Star Dust

Star Dust

She was sure of that. “Well, I could compare you to the stars as well. Should I?” he chuckled and then went on. “Sometimes so distant and far away they seem so untouchable. However, the lights they shine are timeless in the way we understand time here on earth. Sometimes they make things out of nothing, and others, they can destroy everything around them, but that doesn’t change how they look as they sparkle against the darkness around them. They are also a beacon of hope and have a calming effect on people like me and you. Knowing that we once came to this planet as nothing more than spots of dust on a rock. Their beauty is everlasting, and people will see them in lifetimes before and after

My Stepfather Is My Mate

My Stepfather Is My Mate

SEBASTIAN I lay down on the soft mat Sydney had thoughtfully prepared for me. The comforting feeling of the mat beneath my body relaxed my muscles, allowing me to sink into it with ease. My gaze shifted upwards towards the ceiling of Sydney's room, where a mesmerizing display of radium sticker stars adorned the surface. I wondered how she managed to stick them all up there; it must have been quite a challenge. The stars twinkled and glowed in the dimly lit room, creating an enchanting atmosphere that made me feel like I was lying under an open night sky.

Wow so many updates should I be happy or surprised? I think both. I love the way this story going on... The hunters, Elves, and wolves. It's so much of my type with way too much of fantasy characters. And I love that author is thinking about side characters as well. The 18+ part is just so ............

This book started off good but took off in another direction, like it was a completely different book. Some of the chapters don’t even match up with what’s going on or with the characters in the book. I’ve read this far just to see how it ends but the story keeps changing.I’m done wasting $

Moon Night

I wait til I hear feel the cold air drifting into the kitchen and the soft sound of a door closing before glancing into the hallway again. Through the doors glass I could see Embers back to me. The left side of her body was eliminated white from the moon and her hair looked like silver threads as they hung down her back. Creeping towards the door she shifts and a second later a see a silvery gold wolf dashing across the snow, her body low as she ran.

Love Hunting

Love Hunting

Shama sat beneath the moonlit sky, the cool breeze caressing her skin. She gazed up at the full moon, its silvery glow illuminating the vast expanse of the night sky. Myriad stars twinkled around it, like diamonds scattered on black velvet. Shama wondered which celestial body she most resembled: the lone moon, shining brightly in the darkness, or the countless unknown stars, twinkling beside it, their light unseen by most.

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

Charlotte said and shifted her gaze to Legolas, smiling. “See those stars, Legolas. From the vast arch of void-black beyond the moon's corona, stars sparkled at me. They were birthstone-blue and lovely in parts, glistening in their heavenly finery. The ones that were the farthest away, nearly beyond human comprehension, were like pinpricks amid a shroud of darkness. They had a faint silver hue to them and appeared to be far away, dazzling angel fire sparks. All of them… I thought, were lights of hope for all of the world's lost souls. It appeared to me that there was a snowfall glistening in space, and I was honored to witness it.”

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon

We leave the old Alphas, Sera and Ciel in the Barren where they can do no further harm. As we leave the passage that the dreamers have made for us through the Barren, I see the lights of Loop City ahead, glowing bright as stars, a beacon to the Barren's travellers now that the looping viaduct is gone. I feel a real sense of excitement. Optimism even. The Wolf Moon glows huge above us, waiting. I wrap my hand around the pendant and feel the buzz of the lifestone pass through me. Yes, I think. Now. This moment.

Moon Glow

Moon Glow

While the plant provides power for most of the state, it does not require that many employees to run it so the town remains small. Amaris threw off the plain white sheets and rolled out of the twin bed that lay nestled against the wall and in the corner of the room. When she was a child, Amaris would push the bed back against the wall every night so that she could lay at the foot of her bed and look out her window at the moon. There was nothing more beautiful than the sight of the full moon in all her glory.

Clouded By The Stars: New Moon

The young Beastman looked around, and admired the sight before her She was not alone, for there were celestial bodies sharing this space with her. There were at least a billion stars, and with just her eyes Kylie could see no end to them; yet, among those bright beings, there were seven that stood out: a red sun, an orange sun, a yellow sun, a green star, a blue star, an indigo star, and a violet star.
