He wrapped his arms around me, his chin resting on my shoulder. "When we were kids, you said your biggest dream was to explore the stars."
I smiled, the memory distant but clear. We'd been neighbors, childhood sweethearts, until an accident in his family tore us apart. I never imagined he'd hold onto my silly dreams.
"I was just a kid, talking nonsense," I muttered.
"No, you meant it," he murmured, his breath warm against my neck. "And I told you my dream was to marry you."
