She's twirling the blade in her hand, so I'm guessing the blade must have caught the afternoon light from the windows and had me saving my eyes from the sharp light. But wait, something seems off with her. At first, I thought she’s just bored. But my eyes keep drifting to her. And every few minutes, she’s always stealing glances at Declan. Every time, she always tries to act like she isn’t doing it. But she is. It keeps happening, and I keep noticing the pattern. Every time Declan speaks, her eyes flick toward him—just briefly—then dart away. The glances are always so quick like she's trying not to let others know what she's doing.

Only I could tell that he knew, damn, he definitely knew that I was standing right here, right this instant. I wasn't sure how he could tell without seeing me, and I wasn't sure how I could tell he knew, but I knew that he knew. I froze, my breath catching in my throat like I had been caught shoplifting. Which, okay, I kind of had. I was definitely stealing glances, and that seemed like it was lots and lots of illegal, X-rated glances. I ducked back from the door like it burned me, heart pounding like I had just sprinted across the room.

Glances habouring every imagined negative emotions and hatred between ourselves. She stole a glance at him, the sight of him makes the flames in her body increase, her heart soaring and her body singing of hatred and disgust for him. She glared at him hatefully as she watched him get up from the bed and walked gracefully to his wardrobe. Her breasts arced from his long suck but it only made her want to cry. His eyes caught her stealing glances at him, no need to pretend she wasn't staring at him, he already caught her so she just lowered her head. Not when every time I saw her, felt her, or even caught her scent, my rational mind betrayed me, and my heart thudded in reckless, impossible ways. The stolen glances happened everywhere. In the hallway, when I was dropping off Richardson’s documents, I’d catch her looking at me from the corner of her eye. Her gaze was quick, shy almost, darting away as soon as I met it head-on. Yet I knew that there was recognition, something buried in the depths of her mind, buried under years of confusion and Richardson’s shadow.

"Madam, Your Excellency is still waiting for me. I shall take my leave." "Yes." Gladyce nodded. Her heart skipped a beat and she hurried back to her room. She took out her phone from her pocket and opened the album. The man should not have noticed that. In fact, she had secretly taken photos with a camera. Why did she steal the photos? Gladyce couldn't explain the reason, so she could only do it based on her intuition. At this moment, Gladyce was staring at the photo that she had secretly taken earlier... She had magnified it with her fingers.

Just as I was about returning my gaze back to the tv, I saw Alpha Damon glanced up from the newspaper in his hand. When he did, his gaze stumble upon meet, for a moment, before returning his gaze back to the newspaper in his hands. My cheek flushed for that one moment, out gaze meet. I quickly removed my eyes away, placing my hand on my chest. Unfortunately, Emily caught those little reactions from me, and she shot a glare at me. I coughed, fully concentrating, my attention to the tv screen, but then again, I can't control myself from still taking few glances at them, as Emily chatter.

I walked to the open bar and requested for a drink. Carefully nursing my champagne, I noticed a lady stealing glances at me from the other end of the table. Tilting my head, I kept my eyes on her making sure to let her know that I'm aware of her constant staring. Sparing me another glance, she dipped her head and whispered something to the ear of the young man backing me. His back stiffened at whatever she said. Turning, his eyes clashed with mine before he quickly scanned the room looking for someone. When he didn't find whoever he was looking for, he visibly relaxed.
