"We're off now. Take care." Everyone watched as the pair left. Steel had prepared a car for them, along with two barrels of gasoline, some rations, and weapons. In light of the pairs’ abilities, they had chosen a lightweight car as they needed speed over defense. After loading their luggage into the car, they sped toward the city gates. Steel called out, "Open the gates!" The gates swung open and a group of guards stepped out, firing at the monsters that were attempting to enter. Adrian quickly drove out of Novemton, navigating through the surging sea of monsters. After that, the city gates closed.

We turned left from the avenue/street onto what looked like the entrance into a separated part of this mini city. I looked at the huge, metal...almost jail like gates. Guest quarters huh? "Fuck!" Brian screamed behind me. I whipped around to find him holding his hand which was glaring red and looked blistered. I walked up to him in two quick steps and assessed his hand with my own. Judy entered the compound by taking a step forward. Small plates on either side of the road were fitted with light bulbs that lighted up the roadway with a yellow burst of light, illuminating the way leading to the mansion's entrance. The gardens were difficult to see because of the dim light that accompanied nightfall.
