Stephen King Rules Novels & Stories

“If any candidate draws out the blood of another candidate, he will be expelled from the academy and banned from entering combat.” “Seems like the Alpha King made this new rule just for you guys,” Kieran, the assistant, smirks, looking at Nicholas and me. “Fuck off, Kieran.” Nicholas shows his middle finger to him, snatching the paper from his hand. He looks completely pissed off, as if he lost the chance of killing me, while I just stay calm, showing no reaction to anything. I don’t care about the rules. If this bastard pisses me off, I won’t mind killing the favorite son of my father and giving up on the title of Alpha King.

"Good morning, Alix. Give me a few more minutes to go through this. Prince Reagan will arrive very soon. He isn't the type to be late for anything. "Okay," I picked up a book and busied myself by going through the pictures, but then I decided to question him. "How did Stephen get the Lycan's prince's attention out of all the Alphas?" "What do you mean? Are you trying to insinuate something?" I smiled and said, "Come on, we both know that Stephen is a dollop head; what does he know about businesses that caught the attention of the royal house?" "I cannot discuss that with you; Stephen forbade me from doing that."

Kayla said "What? I don't think he would help me," I said. I had heard about King Blake. He was the Werewolf King, and he ruled over all of the werewolves. I had also heard he was heartless and only thought about himself. He was twenty-five and mateless, and all he cared about was power.

The crowd roared in response. "Behold! We have all witnessed a great betrayal from our own rulers! Our emperor, Sebastian Deusdedit was bitten and turned by the blood suckers and he and his wide his this secret from us for their own selfish reasons!" "Death!" The crowed screamed, "death for the empress!" "Look to the center of the grounds," Lucius bellowed and the crowd quietened long enough to observe what he was going on about, "do you see the grave there?"

“Why ever would you want to strangle me, Your Highness?" “Don’t get cute with me. I gave you a simple order, yet you decided to completely disregard it.” I snarled. Ophelia yawned. “You should know better than to try to order me around. I’m not your subordinate, Lucius.” “Not yet, anyway.” My voice carried a sinister promise. “Not ever, if the human ever does as he threatens to. It was smarter to let Elian go, and you know it.” “I don’t give a damn who that rodent has in his corner. The Council cannot stop me from ascending the throne. It is my birthright.” I growled.

Then, I drew my own and fired two shots aimed at her knees. Screaming in agony, she fell to the ground. I put the gun away, saying, "Sorry, but I'm not interested in how your life is going." Then, I watched as Sebastian rushed up to me in a panic, frantically checking to see that I was alright. Why was he so damn cute? As for my answer to him… "I thought about what you said just now, Sebastian. You'll have to pass an observation period first. After all the times you bullied me in the past, I deserve to get even with you."

"She's family and you treat her with respect, or you won't be in this house anymore. Do you understand me, Theo?" He looked me over, his eyes lingering on my fists, which were clenched so tight my knuckles were white. He knew I was seconds away from punching him. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want the noise, the drama, the questions. And because I needed to save my physical effort for the people who really deserved it, like the professor. "Yeah, I get it," Theo muttered, finally looking away. "No touching the stepdaughter. Message received." He paused, then added a kicker, low and spiteful, "But you can't blame a guy for trying. She's ripe for the picking, Dom. That kind of d

“Stand in front of the chair.” She hesitated, then stepped into position. Adrian leaned against the wall near the mirror. “Rule one: when we tell you to do something, you do it immediately. No hesitation, no questions, unless we invite them.” Kai moved closer, standing just behind her shoulder. “Rule two: when we address you, you look at us. Always.” Rhett’s tone was calm but final. “Rule three: you don’t decide who gets your attention. We do.” She could feel her pulse in her throat. “And if I don’t follow these rules?”

He could not, and would not, leave a single flank exposed. Because right now, the King was bleeding. His navy suit was gone, replaced by a dark tactical shirt. His steel-blue eyes were dead, devoid of any humanity, staring at the phone in his hand like a man waiting for his own execution. He was ready to burn the entire city to the ground, to wage a war that would drag every syndicate into the abyss, just to find the woman who had stolen his cold, ruthless heart. Suddenly, the encrypted military tablet held by Cain in the front seat let out a violent, high-pitched ping.

she answered. He straightened his stature. "You don't even know where to find the king." "Yes, it is true; I don't know. So, it will be a great opportunity to find out, then," she said and turned around and left the living room. She quickly headed up the stone staircase leading to her room. Malcolm followed her to the bottom of the stairs and stood there watching her climb up the steps. He braced himself on the edge of the railing with one hand and raised his other hand toward her, clenching it into a fist. "A rule is a rule and must be followed."
