“Dean, how?” “Well, I had help.” A sudden vision of Dean storming a woman’s clothing store with his ex-battalion brothers came to her. She fought back a giggle, imagining Dallas Foreman, Chris Brooker, Jim Alden and Dean all standing around, scowling at the bewildered saleswomen and discussing the merits of various dresses and blouses for her. He looked between the twins, then back at me. “Someone,” he said mildly, “is going to explain why my ten-billion-dollar Omega is wearing one of your shirts, covered in hickeys, and standing between you two like a referee at a cage match.”

Monica shouted. But before anyone could move, the red light exploded outward, forming a large rectangle in the air above the table. The light solidified, became a screen, and on that screen appeared a face. Aiden Stone. He looked older than I remembered from the few times I’d seen him. His dark hair had more gray in it now, and new scars crossed his face. His eyes were the same though—cold and calculating, the eyes of a predator who’d seen too much and cared too little.

"If you and Lisa don't make him forget what he's doing, I don't think my outfit will affect him too badly. But it is fun trying, isn't it?" Steve was wearing a pair of Dockers and a short-sleeved shirt that fit tight enough to display his upper body strength. He took turns with all three girls. He did some lifts with each of them as part of the routines they were doing. "Gwen is so lucky! Did you see how strong Steve is? He picked me up like I was a feather and then lowered me so slow and easy I couldn't believe it. I had my boobs almost in his face and he winked at me and grinned. Mom didn't see it, thank God! I turn around and see Calvin, dressed as if he's stepped right off a Hollywood red carpet. He's in a sleek, perfectly tailored tuxedo that makes him look like an actor at a premiere. And he's not alone; seven other people are with him.

His army green uniform made him look even more formidable, and the warning in his tone sent shudders down Dylan's spine.
