Steven hung up the phone and walked to the main hall of the airport. Lately, Steven felt like he was unhinged, having suffered severe headaches over time as if his head was about to be blown off. Elsewhere, somewhere outside of town, Steven stood up and gazed at the painting on his office wall—a muted oil painting of his father. The otherworldly face of his boyhood, the one who had taught him how to be hard and to hurt. Steven's jaw was set as he gazed at the cycle in which he had been born all his life. He lit a cigarette but did not smoke it, smoking the smoldering one in his fingers.

I turned and slapped him gently, then stroked the whiskers on his mouth. He grabbed my ass hard, picked me up, and pinned me to the bed. My clothes were soon completely undressed by him. Steven is a gross, hairy, bad breath, average looking middle aged man in his thirties. He was not my type, but he was the Delta of the pack. That made me suspect that something else was going on right under my nose. “You finally caught me and—” I lifted the man by the neck, and he screamed in pain. “Take off all his clothes,” I asked Gabrielle, and she took out her claws. In a couple of movements, Steven was practically naked, and he had runes on him, but not just any runes—they were power-binding runes. “Who the hell are you bound to?” Steven laughed before spitting blood. Kill this bastard. Sirhan snapped before growling in my head. “You have no fucking idea; you don't know anything about what—”
