One of the additions to the shower, an improvement over supporting yourself grasping a safety handle, was another stool. This was a sturdy molded plastic 4-step stool with a large flat top somebody could stand on. It was also perfect to bend over when taking it from behind. The stool was designed to shed water, no extra care was required. We tested it and it got our seal of fucking approval.

There were at least six different shower heads, along with was a waterproof touch screen on the near wall, which I played with for a few seconds, causing the various heads to turn on and off. Once I had them all going I stepped inside.

She closed it quickly and moved to the next door, relieved to find that this one led to a spacious bathroom. The bathroom was a sanctuary in itself. Marble floors gleamed under soft, recessed lighting. A large, clawfoot bathtub sat in the center of the room, inviting her to sink into its depths. The counters were lined with expensive toiletries, each bottle meticulously arranged. Flora sighed in contentment as she turned on the tap, watching the hot water fill the tub. She added a generous amount of bath oil, inhaling the calming scent of almond as steam rose into the air.

Lora replied rudely and went to the bathroom conjoined with her bedroom for a bath. “Should you need anything, just let Mr. Hernandez know and our maids will be happy to oblige.” The butler opened the door for me, and I found myself in a stunning, spacious bathroom, with gleaming white marble. Stepping inside, I surveyed the wide assortment of designer soaps and lotions all lined up on the counter top. This was the guest restroom? I could imagine what the other bathrooms looked like. Since I didn’t really need to use the restroom, I waited for a beat, smelling the decadent lotions on the counter. When I figured I’d been in there long enough, I left to make my way back downstairs.

As if he were looking at a work of art he himself had created. I closed the bathroom door behind me and finally breathed. The bathroom was bigger than my entire apartment. There was a counter with products I didn’t recognize — dark glass bottles with silvery liquids, soaps that smelled of spices and something slightly metallic.

I said to him, and looked up to see a small coy smile on his face. “You do now.” He opened the door to the bathroom, and I gasped at the inside. The standalone shower stall had been removed, and in its place stood a large clawed foot bathtub. The entire tub was made from beautiful grey carved stone, and looked large enough to fit three people inside of it comfortably. “How?” I asked dumbly, and he let out a low chuckle.
