A sharp metallic crack rang out as the beak punched clean through the dark iron plating. A deep fracture spread outward across the armor like a spiderweb, and the spiritstone buried inside the revenant's chest began to shudder and whine from the impact. The demonic fire burning in its eye sockets flickered and went dim. The middle revenant responded instantly by bringing both fists crashing down together. A pillar of wrath 1,000 feet tall slammed earthward, wrapped in a wave of heat violent enough to boil oceans and burn mountains flat. The air screamed as it was crushed beneath the blow.

Soulstone was formed from the souls of thousands perhaps, all fossilized centuries ago when the gods themselves roamed the earth and walked among us in various guises. It can only be found in the realms that were eventually given over to the Daemons as they rose, and accessible only by those who rule those lands."

I call out to her. Lucifer snaps his fingers, and a horde of demons descend. One of Lilith’s demons shapeshifts into large serpents and dives for us, but I manage to push Brille out of the way before I bury my sword in its maw. Another demon with horns and hooves releases a loud squaw and rushes toward me, but I run toward it, tackle it to the ground and sink my sword inside of it.

Delilah whispered. And then Yoona moved. With a sharp, unexpected shove, she pushed Delilah aside. Before either of them could react, she seized the Bloodstone with both hands. A scream ripped from her throat. The stone flared violently, crimson light bursting like lightning, wrapping Yoona in tendrils of blood-red energy. Kimberly fell back, eyes wide with horror. Delilah cried out, scrambling to her feet. "Mother, no! NO!" The energy tore through Yoona, sucking at her very essence. Her skin glowed faintly, veins of light spreading as though her soul itself was being drained. But she held on, her hands locked around the cursed stone, her jaw clenched even as tears streaked her cheeks.

A bloodstone, drenched in forbidden incantations. Its heart was throbbing against my palm, living and ready to feast. I had rehearsed the spells over and over again, so that they just come to me naturally now as I say them. "Mother of the Moon, devour the traitor, Strip the wolf, Strip Edrian off his breath. Let his life unravel beneath your light..." The words went in the stone and it got hot. I smiled meekly, I gazed around. No one was even aware of it, priests, guards, not even Xander himself.

Ambrose's shadows shot up like a shield, breaking through the malevolent energy. With a primal roar, the Lycan King unleashes a devastating blow, sending the Demon hurling through the air. Caught off-guard, the Demon crashed hard against the debris where the Book of Oath was.

Lunar was beyond pissed and wanted to murder them. "No. You are tainted with demon blood now. This stone kills demons. One touch of that stone and you will die" dad said, shaking me out of my trance. That snapped me out of it quickly and I looked into his eyes. " Ipsum autem abscondam, donee novis Tempus," Deloris said suddenly, and the rock turned into a black stone. I wasn't feeling the need to touch it anymore, and I was thankful the song stopped playing in my head. Harmon gripped my arm to steady me since I was feeling lightheaded and helped me sit back down.
