A lot of teenagers walked around it. I recognized some people sitting around Fossie Street, but none of them mattered to me, or were important in any way that mattered, but in a way, I envied them. To be fair to him, she did seem to be lovesick and slightly obsessive but that's what happens when you hook up with someone who wasn't your mate. The problem was that the boys seemed to believe that if they hooked up with a human, they didn't have to be concerned about the consequences when their mates show up. Or must deal with the clingy emotions of teenage girls. "You hooked up with her three times, what do you expect?" He groaned at my reply, not appreciating my unhelpful answer. Chapter fourteen: Prom: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly At school, the promenade dance was just a month away. You might know it as prom, as it's commonly called by American teens. I was now fifteen years old. Junior prom, that mystical evening where awkward teenagers wear their finest attire and attempt to swim the dangerous waters of romance without tripping over their own feet. It's a night filled with glitter, drama, and enough teenage angst to power a small city.

The silver chain that dangled on his neck completed the entire look. "I'm not annoying." She heard Ope mutter to Ada, putting his arms around the stubborn girl who just pouted all the way. "You're stubborn sha." He teased, pulling against the girls puffed up cheeks as she instantly swatted his hands away. Janet shyly took her boyfriends hand, leading them to the movie center which had a small line at the front. "Let's watch merry men." Ada perked up, "Isn't that 18 plus?" Derek asked. "I'm 18!" Ada defended with a wide toothed smile.

Where are your parents now?” “Home?” “Then where are you now?” “Here in the Motel?” “So did you get what I mean?” “You mean we were right we shouldn’t drink because they were not here?” Kevin breathed out in the innocence of these kids. “Forget it. We’ll drink tonight, right buddy?” Kevin patted my chest. “And he will be paying for our beers tonight.”
