Stormlight Archive Elhokar Novels & Stories

A few warriors looked away in shame. Lorcan stepped forward, "Who are you?" "My name is Kharis Traeliorn," the priest placed a hand on his heart and dipped his head. "High Priest of the Emenasari Mountain Temple." "What happened here, Priest?" Lorcan looked at the sword in the elf-priest's hand. "Who attacked you?" Kharis looked slightly confused, "Attacked us? Oh, My king, it is not a long story and you shouldn't worry. Those who live here are not as helpless as we look, we have the light of the Elves within us."

Until now. For the realm was stirring. The wolves howled with voices that echoed memory into the cold, northbound winds. The Flame of Memory burned in the council halls where once only politics reigned. A silver-eyed child, too young to bear prophecy, laughed beneath a sky cracked open by impossible light. And all across Eldoria, stone, old and loyal, began to speak Elara’s name again. Inside the monolith, the Archive Keeper felt the spiral at his chest pulse, a single, slow heartbeat, like the warming of long-frozen earth. Not pain. Not command. But invitation. As if the world itself was asking: Are you ready to remember?

I rambled on. “You have the same auras but yours is brighter. Every ruler of the Underworld has to be an heir of the Light.” I understood nothing from what Mismaia told me. I know it’s probably a serious matter but I just can’t wrap my head around it. I was just cooking mini donuts and waffles like a second ago. I get minimum wage and she’s telling me I’m practically like royalty. “I wanna believe you. This is just not normal for me.” She held my hand. I swiped it away. “I’m sorry.”

The plaza collapsed inward, stone dropping away into a vast, lightless chamber beneath—the true bowl of the Reach, a cathedral carved from raw absence. And from it— Something stood up. Not a body. Not yet. A silhouette first: colossal, asymmetrical, layered in shifting planes of shadow and condensed ley-mass. Veins of stormlight and voidfire threaded through it like a corrupted circulatory system, pulsing in irregular rhythms that made my limiter shriek in warning. The third vein. The Hunger incarnate. Elara’s grip on my hand tightened—not in fear, but alignment. Our bond snapped taut, stabilizing both our cores as the pressure surged.

Winter bowed and greeted the massive red eye. "Esteemed being, forgive us if we have sinned against you. We have been looking for our lost comrades ever since, and we were looking for possible answers. Please forgive us for our offense." Winter apologized sincerely. She even knelt in front of the massive red eye that made everyone surprised! "Why were you apologizing for the things that you did not do?" The massive red eye asked. "Wasn't that guy at the back the main reason you were all here?" Carlos pursed his lips and lowered his head. The massive red eye belonged to the Great Archmage, Timothy. He did not expect that he would find him that easily, despite the huge crowd.

They fought for their packs, their homes, and their future, their spirits unbroken by the overwhelming odds. Lyra, leading her elite team, navigated the fortress’s labyrinthine corridors, utilizing a network of hidden passages revealed by Rhys’s detailed knowledge of the Circle’s architecture. They moved like shadows, their presence barely detectable. Each member of her team, handpicked for their unique skills, played their part flawlessly. Elowen, a master illusionist, conjured deceptive mirages, diverting attention from their advance. Kaelen, a seasoned tracker, guided them through the maze-like passages, anticipating every trap and ambush. And Gareth, a powerful earth mage, shielded them

Emmanuel said, smiling warmly as he noticed that his niece bore a striking resemblance to Calisto and his sister Emely. "Elara, I know you have many questions and things you want to say, but first, I need to introduce you to Alpha Kalil," Emmanuel continued. Only then did Elara realize she needed to pay her respects to the Alpha of this pack. "Oh! I apologize for being so emotional. I'm Elara Celestia Arundel, Luna of the Nightraven and Forestheart packs. It's an honor to meet you, Alpha Kalil," Elara said, bowing respectfully, knowing this was the customary show of respect in the Lumire Empire.

When he looks back at me, centuries of shared pain passes between us. "If she hates us for this—" he begins. "Then she'll hate us alive," I finish for him. With the decision made, we move with practiced efficiency. Liora retrieves the ceremonial chalice from its hidden chamber beneath the hearth stones—an ancient vessel carved from dragon bone, its surface etched with runes that pulse with dormant magic. The club members form a circle around the great table, their bodies creating a living ward to contain the power that will soon surge through the room.

The shadow loom had noticed that the new anchorage did not exist only, but that he began to become active. And in the absolute darkness of Maintenance shafts began to move the walls. The architecture itself seemed to turn against them, the corridors began to re-form them in to lead the madness. “They hear us,” said Kaelia, and drew a small, luminous blade that Interface seemed to grow. “The game has changed, Elora. We are not hunting now more just guards. We chase the spirit of the architects themselves.”

Chapter 21: The Void Peaks trembled as a rift of crimson light tore through the dawn sky. Eclipseborn poured from it, their fur blazing with blood-red runes, claws dripping with shadow. Aria stood before the Crimson Altar, her palm still bleeding from binding the Blood Oath, her body humming with its dark power. Kael’s black wolf form bristled beside her, his fangs bared, while Lyra and Torin flanked them, battered but unyielding.
