I said, my resolve growing stronger.
“Can I get a pencil and a paper?” He asked, his eyes searching the store.
I started to search the shelves for a pencil and paper, my eyes scanning the dusty shelves. After a few minutes, I spotted a small writing desk in the corner, and I walked over to it. I opened the desk drawer, and a small piece of paper and a dull pencil fell out. I picked them up, brushing off the dust.
“This will have to do,” I said, my voice firm. “We need to get started.” I sat down at the desk, my heart pounding in my chest.
