She couldn't wait to go home. She really wanted to leave this place as soon as she could. But it was late already and it would be too difficult to get a cab by this time. Sarah felt lonely and sad all of a sudden. She looked at the stage again. Kimara was still sitting beside Richard. This time, it looked like she was telling him something.

All he wanted was a keepsake of this marvelous event of his life. When it’s time for the show to start, they all took their respective seats. Instead, he slammed the door behind him and stormed down the dimly lit hotel hallway, his footsteps echoing against the silence like a cruel punctuation mark. The silence settled around me, heavier than the sheets tangled around my body. I screamed into the void, my own voice bouncing off the lavish walls. Who was this man? How come I had sex with a man that I don't even know his name? How did I get here? What happened the previous night? I felt a slight headache as my memory jogged back to the previous night. Because they knew how much I want this tradition to be over and work out at the same time. That afternoon, I called Ava over and over again. She rejected every call until eventually, her phone went straight to voicemail. That didn’t stop me.
