Story Of Tonight Hamilton Novels & Stories

Derek took a deep breath. “Yeah, sure. Approval for what?” “Can I borrow Isabel Smith for a date tomorrow night? Right here in your Resort. It'll only be one night," Derek assured him. Gideon on the other hand, vanished the smile on his face. _______

Even though Zack had a barbed tongue and high demands, he really knew how to pay up where money was concerned. Who could refuse the triple pay? I took over the folder and smiled. "Of course, Mr. Barlow." However, this last-minute gig meant that my date had to be canceled. Before I could think of how to tell Z, he called me first. "It'll be chilly tomorrow. Wear a sweater. We'll see each other in 14 hours." Hearing how caring he was made me feel guiltier. I slumped on the couch, my head hanging low. "I don't think I can make it tomorrow, darling. I have to work overtime. I'm sorry."

“Even if you ignore his achievements back in Country H, think about the things he did in a span of a few days after coming to Hong Kong and Las Vegas! Because of him, Las Vegas’ situation turned upside down! The Hamilton family aren’t kings anymore! Even though the Mendoza family didn’t make peace with the Hamilton family, both families are now standing behind Harvey!

"Tonight is tonight." She holds his gaze. He's right. She knows he's right. The specific difficulty of being someone who wants to be doing when the doing isn't available is one she's been working on since before therapy, since before the farmhouse, since the grief architecture that turned out to be a love story. She picks up her wine. "Tonight is tonight," she says. "Tonight is tonight," he confirms. They drink the Barolo. Side by side. Watching the same room. Night Thirteen.

Meanwhile, Emma socialized with a glass of wine in hand, breezing through the employees from Soul Shoes but wondering the whereabouts of her husband. She couldn’t help but wonder if he was somewhere, enclosed in 'her' arms for the night. The picture of him-barely clothed and in her arms etched within her mind. She hated that despite the lovely party thrown to encourage her, she couldn’t bring herself to be happy. There was something missing. The music went off and the lights dimmed. A blue light enveloped the room and a deep voice spoke from the end of the room; “ Good evening ladies and Gentlemen. I am Asher Braxton.”

The city is loud below. He shows me his phone. Security feed from last night. Someone in a black hoodie slipped past the guards at 3 :12 a.m . Left the coffin. Walked out like they owned the place. I feel sick. “They were inside again,” I whisper. Julian’s arm tightens around me. “Not anymore. I fired the whole team. New ones start today.” I lean into him. “It’s not enough.” He kisses my hair. “It will be.” My phone buzzes.

Tonight I needed it to be true. I was nobody. I had known that since I was old enough to understand what the word meant. An orphaned low-rank who filed papers and ate alone and had spent years training herself not to want things she couldn't have. I was so good at it. I had been so careful. And I was standing here anyway, in a dress that didn't fit, hoping for something I would never say out loud. Cole raised one hand. The music stopped. "Tonight," he said, his voice carrying the hall without effort, deep and certain, "I name my Luna."

I had no idea if I'd live past tonight. I dared not return home even as the day darkened, but hotels were too expensive, and I couldn't bring myself to pay the tab. Just as I was debating my choices, my phone rang. It was Tony. I never really knew his last name because he never told me. "Hey, Caden. You busy? Care to come out for a drink?"

She decided to play dumb, pretending to be totally clueless. Elsie wasn't buying it, though. 'Stephanie, cut the act, do you think I don’t know what's going on? Joe called me last night, asking why you weren't answering your phone, so I tried to call you to get the scoop. And guess who answered? Nathan Robinson, of all people! He told me you were crashed, too tired to talk, and asked me to call back this morning. So spill, girl! How did you end up spending the night with Nathan? Since when did you two start hooking up? And more importantly, why didn’t you tell me, your ride-or-die bestie?!' Elsie demanded, her curiosity practically radiating from her pores.

We spent the rest of the night eating pizza, and watching movies since this hotel got HBO. We talked about our jobs, the guy that manhandled her we stayed away from any topics pertaining to what happened earlier and Skinner. I'm grateful she didn't push me to talk about it, we went back home real early and I was on my phone when I heard a knock at the door. Emma left to go to a god-awful dinner with her parents so I am home alone so I get up to answer it.
