“Yes, that’s a good idea.” We settled into our spots—Victor on one side of Jasmine and me on the other. I pulled out the storybook I had brought, a collection of fairy tales with colorful illustrations that Jasmine loved. As I began to read, Victor’s gaze softened. He settled comfortably, leaning back against the headboard with a contented sigh. “Once upon a time,” I began, my voice gentle and rhythmic, “in a land far, far away, there was a magical forest where all the animals lived happily together…”

I declined into the chair, my eyes scanning the room. Ella did the last button of Ivy's pajamas and smiled at me. I flashed a signal to Ella to help me out and she laughed, her fingers pointing to a nearby shelf in the room where all of Ivy's bedtime stories were arranged. I walked over to the shelf and picked a book barely glancing over to see it's contents. I sat back into my chair and was about reading when I skimmed it through the first chapter. The story was about a frog who dared to dream, going on an whimsical adventures. “I'm going to be telling you the story of the frog who dared to dream that he could change the frogville.”

I let Lex help by using her voice for the male characters in the story. As I tell the story, I see Ashley out of the corner of my eye give me a thumbs up with a big grin. Even some parents are listening in. I glance over to see some of them smiling and whispering happily to each other. “Is that it?” One of the girls cries out desperately as I finish the story. I feel myself chuckle, “Yes, darling. For now, that's it, but guess what. Every Thursday afternoon, I go to the pack library and we have story time. Ask your parents to get the information from Gamma Ashley.”

I say picking her back again into my arms she giggled finding out there's no bath time, she still yawned sleepily. "It's bed time, how about I read you a story" I suggested giving her one more push to regress, she was happy about that. I got her the three piggies story book and began to read it, making the voices, huffing and puffing making her hide behind Zorro sometimes and giggling other times.

But I could at least try. I grabbed one of the picture books from the basket at the foot of the rocker, reclining into the cushions with Nik in the bend of my elbow. It was thin and well-loved, well-read in a hundred elementary classrooms before I retired it to private service. On the cover was a gaggle of cartoony Maccabee boys in oversized sandals and superhero smiles, and a blazing oil lamp in the background. “Okay, kid,” I cooed, thumbing the cover open. “Time for a little story. No pressure, but this one’s important. Gotta have that legacy.”

Louis knew his junior very well. The older man finally sighed and smiled. “Did you eat so late that you got sick to your stomach? Shall I order some food here?” Alain finally looked back at Louis. He felt grateful that his senior did not pressure him to tell the story. Honestly, he wasn’t ready to talk right now. In a situation like this, he was grateful because Louis was the first to meet him. His senior was very understanding of his condition even though he didn’t tell him anything. Perhaps it would be a different story if he met Brielle. The girl surely would force him to spill everything. She wasn’t a bad girl, but she couldn’t read the situation sometimes.

His face is even more puzzled. If you’re wondering how casual currently we are, even though we ended last night on an awkward note, well… I explained it. Usually, in stories, they just skip to the next day/ chapter as if nothing happened, but NO. IT’S NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL. How I wish it was. I have to thoroughly explain EVERYTHING. Even the finger-partner part. Good heavens, they don’t know about that! Why? IT’S BECAUSE THEY DON’T DO IT! I can’t believe it. They go straight to the point; no foreplay! What a sad world this is…

He felt fast action was vital,so he tried to twist the cyclist's head back to it's proper position,BREAKING THE BIKER'S NECK! I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. CHAPTER 1: DRAGONS It is a little past 8pm and the moon is full and well lit. It is bedtime for seven years old Elizabeth and she is all ready for bed. Teeth flossed, hair brushed and nighties worn. Her sister Historia a seventeen years old red head decides to spice up story time tonight. Instead of reading from the regular bedtime stories, she chooses to tell a story from an old fantasy novel. Historia tokes in her sister in place, as she stands up to dramatize the story with her red eyes wild open. Elizabeth packs her beautiful blond hair in a ponytail as she widens her red ruby eyes as well in suspense.

"What is that?" Caliban traced lazy patterns across my back form where he was laying on the bed. I was sitting up and had the story book in my hands. "A book I found while snooping through the cabin. It's a collection of Thanaten stories," I sighed and leaned back onto the bed into his arms. "Let me see it." He held out his hand and I have the book over. After flipping through the legible pages, the king gave me the book back. "It's a children's book. Common to find in every household. I'm not surprised they have one here."
